About me

I am a gay guy who likes travelling on a tight budget. I am still growing-up. But I love it. Looking forward to learning much more... and to meet and know many others like doing the same.

Hello! Sounds like you have a nice trip planned. I wanted to visit the Cappadocia area too but it seemed to confusing when I was planning it; didn\'t seem as if everything was as easily accessible. Anyway, all the pictures I have seen on Pammukale still show it doing just well. When I booked my hostel in Pammukale they mentioned that the travertines and hot springs were as beautiful as ever. Who knows if that means anything? Either way the ancient ruins of Heiropolis right there on the same hill as the travertines ought to be at least rewarding. I am not flying into the area. I will be arriving from Samos, Greece by ferry into Kusadasi (Selcuk). There is an airport about 15 minutes north of Selcuk (Ephesus) in the city of Izmir. They have connecting flights from Istanbul on Turkish Airways. I am not sure who all flies into Izmir. I will be leaving that area and heading north to Istanbul which will conclude my trip. I fly home from there. I would love to visit Spain. England, Dublin, France, Holland, Denmark and Marrakesh were also on my top picks list. But, alas, time and funds ran out. But, Seeing Italy, Greece and Turkey is a wonderful trip! I am very excited! Enjoy yours. P.S. There is also a Denizili Express train that connects all the central areas. I am not sure if they go to Cappadocia but there is flights to Cappadocia. If you need any other information, I am sure my travel guide can help. Let me know. Good day!

Hey. Thanks for your response. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am going to Turkey in late October to early November. I am starting in Selcuk where there is the ancient site of Ephesus. A day trip to Didyma, Miletus, and Priene would be on my list of suggestions as well. Nearby is Pamukkale that has hot springs and calcium travertines. It looks absolutely beautiful. One place I want to go but can\'t fit into the trip is Bodrum, just a little further south, mainly because it has an underwater museum which sounds interesting. Instead I am going to Bergama for a day (more ancient sites) and then on to Istanbul for the typical blue mosque, haggia sophia, and the grand bazaar. These are my top picks of the things to see. Hope this helps you plan your trip, too.

Hello, I was wondering if you have any tips on Istanbul? Would you like to share them? Have you been anywhere else in Turkey?
