Hey, Tony the only place that I went to that you are going is Kyoto, I would suggest the Monkey Park which is right outside the city, for a very good restaurant/bar go to Wara wara, king of close to the train station 5th, also do not miss all the temples and toris on the east side of the city next to the mountains, and if you are feeling adventurous climb the mountain it takes about 1 hour to get up there and you get a great view of the city, hope I helped, Kampai!
