New England's Capital
This city you can feel the history all around you, uncommon for an American metropolis, some areas also have a very European feel to it, seafood here almost always is locally caught. It's not a huge city, easy to walk and get around with plenty of historical landmarks to see, great restaurants and pubs to eat and drink, sports events to go watch and guided tours fun to check out. Just a 30 minute train ride to the historical city of Salem, for the October carnival or witch museum.
Insider Tip:There's one Sam Adams brew that only makes it out of the brewery to 6 pubs in town and nowhere else in the country called the Sam Adams Brick Red. Try it, it's good stuff. Can be found a Hennessy's, pub where on Wednesday nights, the Karaoke happens and you sing with a live band backing you up instead of looking at a screen with the lyrics and background music.
