Images Of Chicago

With its lake shore location, countless skyscrapers and bundance of iconic traits and characteristics, Chicago is one of the great American cities. Along with skyscrapers, the windy city (a nickname which has nothing to do with the weather incidentally) is famous for hot dogs, pizza, sports teams and more. It possesses a big city feel similar to that you'd find in New York, but boasts a landscape that's far more open than its east coast counterpart. One minute you're in the middle of a thriving city when walking down Michigan Avenue, while the next you're enjoying some peace and quiet overlooking Lake Michigan. Even though it's not as accessible as other North American cities, it's ultimately worth the effort to get to as Chicago is unlike any other city in the country.

    I love Chicago

Chicago exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful city with expansive parks that are well maintained. I loved the green areas and being so close to the water, as well as the culture, music. There are so many world-class museums and things to do. People are very friendly as well.

Insider Tip:Buy a City pass as it offers discounts to great sites. Also buy a transit card to use unlimited transit during your stay. Recommend renting one of the blue city bikes that are all over the city. It can be used for a 24 hour period. Be gentle with the bikes so others can use them for a long time to come. When returning the bikes to their holders, gently push in and lift the bike up to lock it into place. The bike paths along the waterfront are great

Insider Tip:Melrose Place is a great neighborhood restaurant. Serving American cuisine. Order a Club sandwich and soup of the day, its quite a meal.
