Images Of Chicago

With its lake shore location, countless skyscrapers and bundance of iconic traits and characteristics, Chicago is one of the great American cities. Along with skyscrapers, the windy city (a nickname which has nothing to do with the weather incidentally) is famous for hot dogs, pizza, sports teams and more. It possesses a big city feel similar to that you'd find in New York, but boasts a landscape that's far more open than its east coast counterpart. One minute you're in the middle of a thriving city when walking down Michigan Avenue, while the next you're enjoying some peace and quiet overlooking Lake Michigan. Even though it's not as accessible as other North American cities, it's ultimately worth the effort to get to as Chicago is unlike any other city in the country.

    Dig Chi Town

Make sure you give yourself enough time in Chicago because there is so much to see and do(and good food to eat) in this town. The Navy Pier was a surprise for me; a real carnival atmosphere without the sleeze. Millennium Park and the Chicago Institute of Art are absolutely brilliant.

Insider Tip:The Ferris Wheel at The Navy Pier is awesome just on sunset; the view of the city (and the odd sailor) is amazing. And the street art in Pilsen is worth the walk/trip on the metro. Avoid the franchise Italian restuarants! There are plenty of groovy little cafes and bars in Chicago.

    Chicago is amazing

There are a lot of beautiful architectures in Chicago when the first time you come to this city. You will be totally shocked when you stand on the 103rd floor of Willis Tower. Expect the normal attractions you will go, Northwestern University and University of Chicago are also a place worthwhile to pay a visit.

Insider Tip:Be cautious when you go to University of Chicago, never go there at night.. As you know, Chicago is the city that has the highest crime rate in US.

    Chi-town, a great city!

I love to stay in Chicago where it's very prosperous and vivid. The city locates beside the lake which is very clean and the color is indigo! And there are large varieties of different kinds of food!

    I love Chicago!

I absolutely love Chicago, and I've only been there once! It's so pretty and exciting and the people are really lovely and friendly. I didn't want to leave!

Insider Tip:I would recommend staying at the Getaway Hostel. It's in a really great area, lots of places to eat and drink, and it's close to the metro, Lake Michigan and also the FREE Lincoln Park Zoo. Chicago has lots of things to do, so stay more than 2 nights... (like I did). I will definetly be going back.

    Great architecture

If you're an architecture lover, you won't be disappointed by this "gothic" city. You get plenty of places to see, and probably five days aren't enough for enjoying the city. The Magnificent Mile is a must-see, and is very crowded on summer nights. Oh, don't forget to try their deep dish pizza!
