    Cologne

Great city with some brilliant architectural sites. The cathedral is the obvious one, but the Roman churches are also very nice. The city has plenty of places to go out for those interested.

Cologne, great city but not many things to do

I stayed in Cologne for 2 days. The first day I've seen the important things, which were great: Dom, Love Bridge, a few museums, town hall, a few churches, the gate and even things like Neumarkt Galerie. All in all it's a great city, but as soon as you've seen the important things, there's not much to do anymore. The second day we've been to the region where the cable car is and the zoo, as well as the botanical garden.

Insider Tip:There's a great place, called Eiscafé which is close to the Dom. I purchased a breakfast there at 11:00 AM for €5 but it was so much that I actually brunched. I even drank a glass of Prosecco as breakfast!

    A city to discover

Köln is a city that seems a little bit grim at first. The city was severely damaged during WWII and you can notice that some of the buildings were built in a rush. Nevertheless, Kôln has world-class museums, a beautiful Dom and many trendy places to visit. You need to make a small effort to find these places because they are spread across the city. If you plan your visit well, you can be in the town for about four to five days without getting bored.

    Insider Tip:Visit the Belgian quarter.

Not the most fantastic city for sightseeing outwith its main Cathedral attraction, but some really good pubs and nightlife to be found
