A very special and lovely city

Beatles Story and Elvis Exhibition were excellent. The St. George Hall, the World Museum and Liverpool Museums were great. The view from the radio tower was fantastic during nice weather.

Insider Tip:Underwater street was just for children, but it was not mentioned on the map. Liverpool Football Club was a must go, but beware in the Sports Cafe they may break your pound into many pences in order to ask you for tips.

    Liverpool

In love with the city, I've come back twice and intend to return at least one more time. The people are so friendly and helpful everywhere you go. And if you're a Beatles fan like myself, this is heaven. There are Beatles sights galore - Albert Dock, the Beatles Museum, The Cavern Club, their houses, everything!

Insider Tip:I would highly recommend the Magical Mystery Tour. It was so much fun and the bus takes you everywhere, from Penny Lane, to their houses, to Strawberry Field. Our tour guide, Neil, was hilarious, super friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't mind going on the tour a second time, it was so much fun!

    Average

Liverpool is just average and actually a bit scary cause of all the empty houses, but it's the beatles place of birth, so you have to visit it.

Probably the best city in the world

I just simply loved Liverpool. It is a brilliant city with brilliant people. The atmosphere on a matchday was incredible.

Insider Tip:Visit a match on Anfield and the stadium tour. Also the Beatles story

really good value for the money we paid...very good for football loving people

it is basic but really good for the money we paid. we had clean linen, towels and a (nearly) clean bathroom. the kitchen is small (not enough space if you like to sit there with more than 3 people) but functionable. the owner gave us really good tips for coming around. only 100 m away from "the kop".

Insider Tip:don´t take the 27 (sheil road circular) bus, take number 17 that takes only 15 min to the city centre...and aks for a student discount in the bus (it´s only 1 Pound oneway!) you can have a cheap breakfast (2-3 pound for cooked breakfast) in the cafe under the guest house (we didn´t try it, because we didn´t know before).
