Great city and it doesn't take long to see and do all the attractions that it has to offer. The locals are super friendly and the city in general has a nice vibe to it.

Insider Tip:It's really not that big of a city. Save the money on buses and walk everywhere instead! Get lost and explore here- its easy to find yourself again and Definitely go to Matthew St and TATE Liverpool! It can get bitterly cold with the sea breezes so take those mittens and scarves :)

    Party Town!

Liverpool is a shoppers and partiers paradise. Clubs open all night, and day of the week, girls of all ages in short skirts and heels. Cheap drinks, loud music, but not for the faint of heart. The culture and history take a back seat to the current retail insantiy of the high street. Museum during the day, drink all night. everything in walking distance.

Insider Tip:Home Bargains: everything you need for cheap. St Johns: the shopping mall for shoes. Weatherspoon for 5pound burger and beer, or thursday curry night

    Liverpool

If you like the Beatles, then Liverpool is for you. The town and shopping is surprisingly good though, many big shops and international brands and they open till late. Buses are expensive, all the sights are quite near each other except for the church which is slightly futher and up a slope, and Anfield which is reachable by taxi/ bus.

I was there basically due to my passion for the local football club Liverpool F.C. As an Australian it was magical just to be in the city I had heard so much about growing up. If you are a football fan, you don't have to look far to find something to do. The entire city is dedicated to the sport, divided down the middle according to where your football allegiance lies. Blue or Red, Everton or Liverpool. Nightlife is decent and the locals are different gravy, awesome fun.

Insider Tip:Keep an eye on what bar you are in. Quite a few are gay bars, not that theres anything wrong with that, but awareness is key.
