Images Of Milan

Slick, sleek and uber-cool, Milan is one of the most stylish cities in the world. Lavish designer stores abound endless streets while just as lavish bags loaded with the latest 'must-have' items hang from endless shoppers' arms. Milan also has some of Italy's most breathtaking cathedrals, making it a perfect destination for sightseeing as well as shopping. Once all shopping and sightseeing is done, visitors can enjoy free snacks during 'aperitivo time' before ending the day in Navigli, Milan's coolest quarter.

    Not a very touristic city

The city has a beatiful cathedral, the Duomo, but everything near it is expensive. Some also said Milan was the fashion capital of the world, but I have no seen anything demostrating it. Everything you find in Milan can be found in other cities, the shops, clothes, restaurants, everything. If even though you decide to go to Milan, 2 days are enough to visit everything. There is a good DJ and party house we liked in Milan, it is called Alcatraz, good for party.

    If you have money XD

Milan is a nice city but only if you have a lot of money...there are a lot of shops but because I wasn´t interested in that (I actually only go there because my flight was from there) but I think is a nice city

    Hidden Gem?

If so I didn't find it. I found Milan to be very dreary, very spread out, and very uninspiring. I would suggest staying closer to the city center in order to have a better chance at experiencing more of Milan.

    Nothing to worry about!

Being our first time to Milan, well Italy in general; travelling always comes with first time nerves and this wasn't helped by many people including a man on the plane on our arrival to Malpensa, telling us to mind our bags because the centre of Milan is the 'den of thieves'. With this in mind we were apprehensive, but there was no need. Obviously theres a need for caution in any big city and watch your possessions, but Milan really is a lovely place and the Duomo is stunning!

Insider Tip:V. expensive try and find out online cheaper restaurants/cafes etc beforehand. also do make sure if you want to go inside the Duomo, shoulders covered and bottom half needs to be below the knee :D

    Mixed thoughts...

Milan is great for food, shopping and football but lots of run down places, graffiti and homeless people line streets everywhere. People of Milan also very grumpy, hardly a smile to be seen!
