    My visit to Milan, Italy

Milan is a city like environment, I wasn't there long enough to explore. However, I do like that it hosted the 2015 expo which was fantastic in my opinion. Milan I believe has character, it is known for it's fashion shows and the famous painting of the last supper. Also the railroad station is convenient to get to and is nice looking.

Insider Tip:If there is an event or you want to explore Milan, I would say go.

    Concerning Milan

There seems to be a prevalent snobby, materialistic, vain culture in the parts of Milan I have seen. The historical centre is very picturesque but once you venture a little more outward Milan becomes very industrial and, figuratively, cold. I think Milan is basically a business/shopping city and not one really set up for travellers.

Insider Tip:Go to Florence, Bologna, Cinque Terra or Lucca instead!

    Great Place

Lovely place to visit, make sure you do all the standard touristy things like the Duomo. Also visit EXPO if you can, well worth it.

good for a day or two!

could do Milan in a day easily with the major sights; the Expo was going on so could have spent a couple more days there actually. interesting city but different from the other major cities in Italy (Florence/Venice/Rome) which kind of makes taking a stop here worth it

    Insider Tip:the Expo was awesome
