didn't do much in city. theres some good shopping and a couple site seeing places. The expo was going on when I was there which took up all day.

Insider Tip:go to World Expo if you go anytime before October 2015.

    Summer 2015

Not really a whole lot to do in Milan if you don't go to the Expo. I managed to have a good time for two days just drinking in a park and going to Duomo, but I would definitely recommend checking Expo if you have more than a day. Central area is really expensive, but if you walk about 20 minutes out of city center in any direction things get cheaper. Might have to walk through rough neighborhoods but food and drink will be better priced there.

Insider Tip:Learn the metro, also Expo is much cheaper at night.

    So much to see

Even if I had money to blow, I'm not a big shopper so I didn't think Milan would have much to offer me. Well just walking around the city was really cool because the architecture is beautiful.

Milan was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. The people are really nice, and I felt immersed in their day-to-day life even though I was a tourist. There's wonderful pizza places, and their apertivos are great!

Insider Tip:Go to the canals both during the day and evening. Both times have a great scene, and there's also a market during the daytime. Also pop into any churches you see that appear to be plain on the outside. I saw a few in Milan that were crazy impressive on the inside - one had walls covered in skulls!

Don't need to spend more than 2 days unless your going on a shopping bender. The Duomo was amazing as were some other churches and local parks. I also went to the Expo which was okay.

Insider Tip:Pay to go to the top of the Duomo. Don't do a tour, if you do it yourself I believe it was like 12 Euro to go to the top and you can see and read everything you need.
