Eu te amo Porto! Amazing City in the North of Portugal

Beautiful city with a really good atmosphere and friendly and open people (don't worry most of them speak English, although it's definitely a plus if you say Bom dia or Obrigada/o (thanks) in portuguese). For us it is a perfect city to actually calm down and forget your average day life as it will absorb you with its unique way of living.

Insider Tip:Beautiful city with amazing architecture and beautiful streets (check out the street art all around the city wherever you find buildings under construction). There are wonderful places around the city where you can just hang out in all the parks. Partying takes place between Aliados and R. Carmelitas (go out late if you don't want to be the first one).Try out the good wines and take a seat in one of the amazing cafés around Rua das Flores. Shopping Street: Rua Santa Catarina. Visit Porto and you'll love it

    Porto - a strange beauty

We came to Porto by plane, so at first, it's not very attractive. But then, in the night, it's marvelous. We discover very beautiful corners, finest restaurant and fall in love with the city.

Insider Tip:Try francesinha, it's good but if you're not very fond of cheese, I recommend two of you share the food and order another salad, or something to eat with it.

    Beautiful Porto

A stunning, picturesque city that surprised us with its cleanliness, friendliness of locals and beautiful country side.

Insider Tip:Visit the Duoro valley and do a wine and port tour with Cooltours. A really fun day. Do your own walking tour of the city, it's small and easy to navigate

    Undiscovered treasure

Porto has definitely been the big surprise of our trip through Portugal. The city is relatively unknown by tourists still, making it possible to really mingle around among the locals. Also the city itself is really cheap, dorms are around 20 euro's, while you can get an outstanding meal for 10 euro's.

Insider Tip:Restaurant Miss Opo. Excellent dishes for excellent prices.

    Warm, Welcoming - Great Food

Porto is an amazing city. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and some of the best food I've ever eaten was there.

Insider Tip:Check out Meet & Taste in Vila Nova de Gaia - amazing food!
