    Touristy

Too many tourists, boring after half a day in the old town. GET OUT of the old town and go see the countryside, the beach or the poor neighbourhoods, then it gets very interesting.

Insider Tip:Beach only 30min away by train.

    Riga- the variated town

A beatuful town with all the squares, jugend(art nouveau) houses and so on. Good value for money. Dont forget the huge market close to the railway station. You will find things that never know that it existed. Visit even the outskirts of Riga. That is interesting och you will see average life in Riga. Do not forget Salaspils. A place to remeber the terrifying years during WW2. It´s a memory over a german koncentration camp. Take a bus from Stalin skyscraper. Ticket price 1 euro for the bus. Ask the dr

    Too nice to share

Riga is a lovely city with very friendly locals. I hope the stag parties don't ruin it too much, I was lucky enough to avoid most of them in my time there! Stay classy Riga :)

    Riga

Old town limited by the river to the west, the railroad lines to the east and south, and without a definite boundary to the north. The areas usually most interesting to tourists are the Old Town and the area around the Freedom Monument, located nearby.

Insider Tip:Art Noveau Buildings. *Alberta and Elizabetes streets (iela) are the best place to see the creations of Art Nouveau architect Eisenstein, famous of his splendid style
