    Don't Overlook this gem

This city is definitely not on many bucket lists, but you should add it now. They are all polite. They all speak English. There are fascinating museums and great architecture to explore. The food is delicious.

There is a lot to like about Riga. I found it to be a clean city. The old town is worth spending a day walking around. I was lucky the sun was shining and it added to my experience. Everything in Riga is easily accessible by foot. I would highly recommend visiting the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia. You get a sense of the recent history. There are plenty of places to eat, some of which are good value. Also plenty of coffee houses for the coffee lover.

Insider Tip:Take your self out of the old town and wander admiring the art nouveau designs on the buildings.

Accidentally visited the cemetery at 03:00 AM. Not a Goth.

As for Old Riga, it was unusually peaceful for me the megapolis dweller. No labels, no maps, no popups, no hints on directions - and almost no locals wandering the streets of Old Riga by night. I had no idea the quiet, almost ethereal park I was walking in at 03:00'morning was a memorial park (ex-cemetery); had almost no chance to determine it from a tourist map and found it days later.

    Insider Tip:Check the maps!

    Always lot o

This is maybe the fiftith times that i put a foot on this land. My opinion does not change. The evolution of this city is very slow. Prices seem not to rise. It is good. A lot of place to party until 6 or 7 am. But be careful. Some bars get your money from your credit card. See the black list of american ambassie.
