Stockholm Pocket Guide

Images Of Stockholm

Built on 14 distinguishable islands, Stockholm is one of the few capitals in the world that affords visitors the opportunity to go island-hopping on a short break. Each of the Swedish capital's islands has its own attribute. Gamla Stan is one of the most charming old towns in Europe, Djurgården is at the forefront of the game in terms of museums, while Södermalm is where the Swedish capital's notoriously stylish offspring party into the early hours every weekend.

Stockholm City Reviews

    4 days in Stockholm

Beautiful city, lots of interesting art and history museums to explore. The city centre is enough to get around on foot. Would recommend walking the bridges and by the river at sunset. Lovely cafes and bakeries.

Insider Tip:Go on the free Stockholm walking tours, great tour guides and an excellent way to be introduced to the city when you first arrive. Eating out is slightly expensive, bring a packed lunch and maybe indulge a little for dinner.

Very much enjoyed it, will definitely come back again. Everyone was very friendly, spoke impeccable english which is great because attempting Swedish can be embarrassing and overall a great city.

Insider Tip:Don't be afraid to go and talk to people, they aren't going to be rude or tear your head off and you can get some great information about places to go from them.

This city is very sophisticated and chic. It is clear that Sweden takes excellent care of its nature - because the trees, air, and water is all clean and crisp.

Insider Tip:Meals are very expensive here and there are little to no fast food options. Be prepared to sit down for a nice, expensive meal!

More expensive than you could ever imagine.

must see the archipelago i liked Grind.Stockholm is good for walking around too, the photography museum was nice.

Insider Tip:I recommend just having fun and not looking at your bank account because if you convert everything as you go you will literally end up depressed. One beer was about 13 euros at some place. a beer. not a mixed drink.
