Stockholm Pocket Guide

Images Of Stockholm

Built on 14 distinguishable islands, Stockholm is one of the few capitals in the world that affords visitors the opportunity to go island-hopping on a short break. Each of the Swedish capital's islands has its own attribute. Gamla Stan is one of the most charming old towns in Europe, Djurgården is at the forefront of the game in terms of museums, while Södermalm is where the Swedish capital's notoriously stylish offspring party into the early hours every weekend.

    Great city to visit

Absolutely great city : design, museums (Vasa museum, impressive), night clubs, culture, walks round the archipelago... Would be happy to visit Stockholm during winter time !

This city is very sophisticated and chic. It is clear that Sweden takes excellent care of its nature - because the trees, air, and water is all clean and crisp.

Insider Tip:Meals are very expensive here and there are little to no fast food options. Be prepared to sit down for a nice, expensive meal!

More expensive than you could ever imagine.

must see the archipelago i liked Grind.Stockholm is good for walking around too, the photography museum was nice.

Insider Tip:I recommend just having fun and not looking at your bank account because if you convert everything as you go you will literally end up depressed. One beer was about 13 euros at some place. a beer. not a mixed drink.

Nice city to visit for a day or two.

I am a single traveller that was Interalilng around Europe. I heard that Stockholm was a nice place to visit which it was, however, I did find if your on a budget it can be a little boring and very pricey. I also found that you could see the centre of it all in one day and I didn't feel that it offered as much as other European cities that I visited.

Insider Tip:Buy a 72 hour travel card even if you're travelling for 48 as they don't provide a 48 hour one. The next one below is a 24 hour one, however, works out better value for money with the 72 hour one.

I've always liked Stockholm, especially the Old Town, so I'd definitely recommend visiting the capital of Sweden.
