Surfers Paradise Pocket Guide

Images Of Surfers Paradise

It's gaudy, it's flashy, it's loud and it's exhausting, but above all it's great fun in the sun. This is what makes Surfer's Paradise a hugely popular stop-off backpackers exploring the east coast of Australia. Part of the country's breathtaking Gold Coast, Surfer's is party central and Australia's most popular holiday destination thanks to its seemingly never ending beaches, glorious weather, great shopping, world-class theme parks and nightlife to rival any other city in the country.

Sleep all day and drink all night

Surfers Paradise did not live up to my expectations. There really wasn't that much to do during the days. And the night life was disappointing. The night clubs where really pretensions with strict dress codes and cranky guards. I still went out every night because there wasn't anything else to do.

Insider Tip:Stay a two days and move on.

    Where city meets beach!!

You really have got the best of both worlds in Surfers Paradise, beach bumming it during the day & followed by awesome city nights out. The choice of places to eat & drink are massive!! I found a ladies night in Sin City & managed to get totally drunk on only $10!!

Insider Tip:Watch out for the Metre Maids!!

    My experience of Surfers Paradise

Was cool, but just like any other beach town. Nothin special. Prices were outragous! I paid 16.00AU, for a salad!
