Amsterdam Hotelboat

Although the location, free breakfast and shared facilities are good, there is no kitchen or atmosphere and the rooms have a lot to be desired. They are incredibly small which is understandable given that it's a boat, however the noise really is unbearable even with ear plugs. It's literally like sleeping in a sound tunnel. It was unfortunately the only place available over the busy new year period however in comparison to a standard dorm is not worth the extra cost. Would not stay again.

Home Travellers Motel- St Kilda

The rooms are good with ensuite bathrooms that are cleaned daily, the kitchen is large but lacking equipment and can be very dirty as the guests don't seem to clean after themselves (the staff can only enforce this so much though). Very noisy on an evening as the layout means the rooms are surrounded by the central common area with people partying outside of your room. There is a 12pm curfew for outside areas but is barely enforced (although its a hostel so you just expect some) Location great!

The hostel staff were great however the quality of the facilities were not. I was also placed in the wrong room and had to change room twice due to mix ups with the bookings.

I had a brilliant stay at the hostel. The location was great, the staff were really friendly. They showed us the sights and gave some excellent tips on places to visit and put on an awesome BBQ!! I would definately reccomend anyone to stay here, I had a lot of fun and cant wait to visit Lisbon again one day!
