Summer Youth Hostel Mlada Garda

Bratislava, Slovakia

I think the "hostel" (not exactly, better will be "dormitory") is the one such big and only dormitory in Bratislava for 1000 people:) someone below used the word "labirynth" and that's what it is (try to find your room). do not expect more than fresh bedding, everything else is beyond reverie. main reason to stay there is of course economic. easy to get there, but you have to use bus and tram from main bus station and then from dormitory to city centre by tram is about 12 minutes. at own risk.

very close to the Wimbledon station, 5 min walk. the hostel is situated on the 2nd & 3rd floor of the building. breakfast at the morning is a good start. showers are unisex:) I personally think that the rooms are too small. bunch of 10 people in a 5 double beds around without any wardrobe nor table or sitting chair. if you don't mind socks smelly little crowdy spaces, then it's not a big deal:) another problem is too many things in the kitchen. the Staff is very friendly & helpful, thanks a lot.

very good and cheap hostel, 330krc per person per night, it's located just 3 metro stops from main train station Hlavni Nadrazi, search for Jirho z Podebrad. not many people there, there is 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom on the floor. there is 24h reception and only 1 computer with internet. it's easy to find, that is Univeristy building and sleeping place for students there. we took whole room for ourselves and that was a good idea, very quiet there, far from main street. quiet neiborhood also.

The hostel needs general refurbishment. More showers/toilets needed.

This one is completely new, so everything was fresh, clean and new. They've got anything you need to spend good time in hostel. The good kitchen, the TV and free computers with internet connection. Recommended.

Expect nothing more than bed to sleep:) location is good close to my arriving station - Berlin Gesundbrunnen. ground floor of the "corner" of the old tenement, 7persons in the mixed room. The hostel itself hasn't got any atmosphere or character at all. The first thing I thought, was that it need a good refurbishment:). Lack of security or facilities - wc & kitchen is a standard I think:) they taking 3euro for linen per person, cleanliness is average, cheap sleep, cheers to snoring italian:)

Everything was fine. Good location, close to the Ostbahnhof, the hostel in a very good condition compare to the price (10e for just 1 night), is more like hotel. clean and tidy room and bathroom. Perfect for short stay or even longer. It has my full recommendation. I think I will spend a good time there again in a near future.
