Hostel was in a beautiful location, about 5 minutes' walk from Santa Monica pier, which was great! I wish there were better options for parking if a guest is driving in (across the street at $14/night is too much if one is staying there for multiple nights, and the garage that's about a 10 minutes' walk away at $5/night is better but not the best option for solo females walking alone in the evening). Also it'd've been nice if breakfast included some fresh fruit or eggs or something.

Hotel Central

The hotel is in an area at the very edge of the Ancienne Medina & not all taxi drivers know Ahmad al Bidaoui. When we went, the area in front of the hotel was being renovated & was a little noisy at night. It's also rocky, so it's hard if you have wheeled luggage. The hotel itself is in an old building but is kept very clean & is staffed by friendly & helpful people! The bathroom inside the rooms was basic--a toilet & bathing area--but it sufficed. Breakfast was breads, jam & butter, & drinks.

Agora Hostel and Guesthouse

The guys at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I appreciated that the lockers underneath the bunks were big enough to hold large luggage, and the washroom facilities were clean and spacious. I liked how there was WiFi throughout, and the location of the hostel itself in Sultanahmet (within walking distance from most of the sights). Breakfast was good, and the roof has amazing views! I'm definitely recommending this hostel to future visitors to Istanbul!
