Nomads Fat Camel Hostel

This hostel is everything a lone or group traveller could want. A little different in that the dorms are arranged in an 'apartment' style layout with four rooms feeding into one communal kitchen/diner area. Great bar, cheap drinks, with something going on every night to get you involved and make friends. The pub crawl guarantees you a good night. Rooms and communal lounge on level one could do with updating, but still clean and i got a good night sleep. Would recommend.

Overall a good hostel. Rooms are Nothing to fancy, could do with a little love and attention but clean.had a little mix up with the room, unfortunately one we had realised the reception had closed (7pm). Good social area/bar and loved the live music and meals available.

Glenelg Beach Hostel

As a lone traveller, meeting people was very important to me. Straight away tony took me outside and introduced me to a table of 15 people and I had instant friends. A perfect introduction! The hostel was clean sociable and eventhough I didn't use the kitchen it seemed to have plenty of space. The hostel actually turns into a music venue on the weekends where the public pay to get in, I had a great night! Just remember earplugs! The j1/j2 (glenelg-airport-city) bus is just opposite the hostel.

For me it was the lack of fun atmosphere. I arrived and the reception lady was very pleasant and have me lots of advice for the city etc (not sure of name, probably in late thirties).By 8pm I was ready to meet people but they were all just at the table on their laptops, no one was socialising, no organised events advertised. The different girl behind the counter was more interested in her phone to talk to guests. Thankfully Reece walked in so and actually made my night. Employ people like him

You only stayed 1 x night !? Backpack OZ cant determine what type of mood the in-house guests will be like at any given time. You were drinking with the other staff and seemed to be having a great time with them, so why would you write a negative review? Thanks for the feedback Backpack OZ and the Guest House

Very sociable place, easy to meet friends. The tour wasnt particularly informative compared to others i have been on as the guides didnt really flow the tour well, we ended up directing outselves most of the time! But it was a great way to meet people in the hostel and had a subsequent great night out in melbourne. Be ready to take a trip to the supermarket/queen victoria market to buy your breakfast/dinner supplies for the communal kitchen. Free rice/pasta/tea/coffee/sugar. Creaky beds but clean

Reggae Mansion was all i expected it to be, great location as its just around the corner rom Masjid Jamek station. The train network is very modern and very cheap in comparision to taxis (easy to be ripped off!). If you do get a taxi from sentral station make sure its metered as it should only cost R10-15. Security in dorms are great as each bed has a huge under bed storage, remember a padlock. Very approachable staff, they knew everything about how to get to places around KL and malaysia.

Loved this hostel, very clean, comfortable, perfect for the central station and a nice walk to the beautiful centre of Munich. The 'tour was very good, really learnt a lot from the guy, though i hope he spends some of his tips on getting a new pair of shoes! Breakfast was excellent value, a great selection and comfy seating area. I would reccommend this hostel one hundred times over.
