An earlier review stated that this hostel needed a really good clean. It appears as though not much effort has been done to improve the cleanliness - I didn't take a shower because I didn't want to use the shower. The bathrooms are horrible. There are two large cheaper dorms available. I didn't sleep good at all because of two or three horrific snorers in the dorm. The other dorm had a known snorer so staff put me in the other room but it was unfortunate -my bed shook with the snoring under

Summary - Nice outdoor space with a terrace, weak shower pressure, overpriced but popular with other guests, needs to improve locker features for security. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g189116-d3150309-Reviews-Casa_d_Alagoa_Faro_Hostel-Faro_Faro_District_Algarve.html

The hostel was pleasant. We had a nice double room but it was noisy onlooking onto the balcony where other guests congregated in later hours. It was disappointing that the hostel did not provide bikes as they were needing repaired - despite saying they'd be looked at. Procrastination. I felt that one particular employee was rude and too engrossed in playing video games. Another employee was very helpful. Kitchen was clean but our ensuite shower was not pleasant as water did not drain away.

When I first arrived at Saint Exupery it was busy with groups and the music throughout the day in the common room area was far too loud, I was staying in a 14 bed female dorm with no window - it was all a bit rubbish. The friendly staff moved me to another 14bed dorm with a window which improved my experience, once the first few days were over the music mellowed and it was pleasant atmosphere. With the dorm window above the reception area it was unpleasant people were smoking until early hour
