I can't really fault this hostel, staff were very welcoming and helpfull, a superb location at a fantastic price. Definitely recommended. I did read about train noise and there was a bridge alarmingly close but didn't really notice the noise.

The site really should tell you if you are staying in the annex on fleshmarket, im sure the actual edinboro backpackers is super but the annex is weird, dorm 9 is just a room with bunk beds separated by fake walls and a curtain, you have to be over courteous when moving because you can hear everything, you are really aware of your movements in night and morning, as odd as it was i really enjoyed my brief stay and made friends easy, paradoxically recommend but not sure if id stay in same dorm
