Lucky Hostel Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan, Thailand

Perfectly good full moon hostel. The rooms are obviously a little more expensive than other places in Thailand but that's to be expected at full moon. What attracted us to this hostel was the 3 night minimum stay which is better than most other hostels. The rooms were not spacious, but the facilities were clean. We went as a large group but if going alone it may not be the easiest to meet people as there are no communal areas. Great location though, I would stay again.

Nice room with nice views of Pai. It is a little out of the town centre and could do with some signs, particularly for people turning up late at night. Cute place though with a campfire each evening and its good for meeting people.

NapPark Hostel at Khao San

Fantastic hostel, I have stayed here before and wouldn't look for anywhere else when visiting Bangkok. The beds are comfy, and even though the dorms are large they have seperators between beds which makes it feel like less people are in there. The staff are friendly and its a great place to meet people with its lounge area downstairs. Great security & very good location.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly helpful, they booked us in for an extra night just in case we decided to stay an extra night to ensure we wouldn't have to change rooms and offered to cancel the room free of charge the next morning. The hostel has a good bar and is very close to the sea front. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The Mad Monkey

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

I would definitely recommend Mad Monkey if staying in Phnom Penh. Good rooms, although the top floor can be a bit noisy if you want a quiet night, but I believe the bar closes around 11pm so its not a problem. The staff are very helpful and they employ some staff with disabilities, unlike most other companies in Cambodia - I believe these people enhanced our stay as they were so kind and really wanted to help. Good location, I would stay again. Thank you.

We arrived very early to the hostel and were allowed to check in as our room was free which was great and very much appreciated. The location is very good - close to the beach and bars. If looking for somewhere for good food I would recommend Seafood Corner down near the beach, it does 3 / 4 course set menus for £3-£4 including a beer or wine.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The owner and all the staff are very friendly, especially Dave. The free breakfast is delicious and definitly required as they provide free Vodka after 9pm. Great place to meet people and a really good location. My only negative would be that the bed is pretty hard, but they are hard everywhere in Laos. If I return to Vientiane I would head straight for Sihome Backpackers Hostel.

Great hostel!! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They also put a lot of effort into getting people together and having fun with different nights such as beer pong night and with beer pong. We stayed for the Halloween party which offered free beer if they painted your face. Its a great place to meet other people. Very good location.

Great location, friendly staff. I would definitely recommend taking the Great Wall tour with the hostel as you go to a really quiet part of the wall. Really good hostel with a good bar - only downfalls were the wifi and the male showers were in the girls toilets so the men spent a while confused! Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you leo hostel

Hello. Thank you for your comments. We are very happy that you enjoyed our famous Secret Great Wall tour. It has been running over 8 years now and many people from other hostels/hotels join the tour. The wifi should work fine for everyone. If you have a problem next time, please ask the staff to reset the wifi for you. Sorry, the male showers are temporarily out of use but should be fixed soon. See you next time! Beijing Leo Hostel.

Nice hostel in an easy access area. The staff were helpful. The bed was comfy. There were three adorable puppies running about the common area / bar (and a kitten if you are a cat person), they were great for a little cuddle! The only downside is that the wifi was patchy.

Best hostel we have stayed at in China so far. We stayed in a dorm which had very comfy beds and it was a nice spacious room. The hostel is extremely clean with good wifi. Great location, just off the busy streets so you are in the right place without the noise. The terrace is really pretty. We arrived at 7am and were allowed our beds straight away which was great as we were tired from a night bus. The food was also good and beer was cheap.

Nice hostel and roof terrace. We stayed in a large dorm and were 3 bunks high which was absolutely fine except there was no floor space for us to put our backpacks. You do get a locker but it is not big enough for a bag. We puy our backpacks in front of our locker as it was luckily a bottom one, however they were in the way and it was very awkward to get anything out of them. The staff were pretty unhelpful. It was in a good location though.

The staff were great, very helpful. When we booked there wasn't room in the same dorm for my boyfriend and I, so we booked seperate rooms. Later that day the staff emailed us to say thy now had availability in the same room if we wantedwhich was very kind and we didn't even have to ask them first, great customer service. We stayed one night before going tothe airport for which it was perfect.

Fantastic staff, they were incredibly helpful and friendly - thanks for the great night at kareoke, i hope Natalie had a great birthday.

Really nice Hostel. Great area to walk to A-bomb site and museum. Met some great people and had a good few nights. Try the Okinomiyaki in the nearby local restaurants. Staff were helpful in organising a trip to Miyajima which is definitely worth a trip.

Nice clean, modern hostel. Nice rooftop, bar/café and big chill out area with sofas. Staff were really helpful with numerous things. Go to the recommended All you can eat Korean BBQ on their lobby message board, its amazing. Good hostel for meeting people to party with or just chilling out between temple trips.

Great little hostel. Really relaxed in a old-school Tea house style building. Has a little zen garden and the staff are really friendly. Perfect location for doing the walk around Deer Park and seeing the temples, Large Buddha and the free zen gardens. Make sure you head to the town for food before 8.30pm as everything closes early. One comment would be that they need a new sign outside as we walked right past it at first as it doesn't have one.

Stayed in the second building so not in the main building with the bar. It was nice enough with a separate kitchen and dining area. Asakusa is a great area to stay in and the hostel is fairly close to most transport links. The best bars are over in Shinjuku and Shibuya and getting back after 12 is hard and expensive. The hostel Bar could have been a bit cheaper as it was one of the most expensive for a beer in the area.
