Like the site describes, this is a barebones accomedition. Bed (ours was two twins pushed together as a king), a bench, a TV, and nice mini fridge. It would have been nice to have a nightstand for contact lens/glasses, cell phone to charge and other nick nacks. The elevator works, but be careful and patient. There's no breakfast, but there are 2 kitchens. Wifi is only in the common areas, but that lets you hang on the balcony which has excellent views of Old SJ and the dock.
My fiance and I loved our unit (3214). The maid cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, and made the bed each day. The pool is amazing! The beach is nice, and they provide chairs to use under the thatch huts. The biggest downside to the beach is the seagrass. It's not the condo's fault that there is a ton of it, but they do their best to clean it up. I also enjoyed being away from the main strip and bigger hotels. This place is meant to sit back and relax. It's not party central.
The staff is super friendly and amazingly helpful! The housekeepers/cooks are so sweet and friendly. They really care about you and want to help you. They have a daily rotating breakfast menu which is delicious. The balcony areas are nice and well maintained. The hostel is in the financial area & is near corner stores, restaurants, street vendors, the metro, & sightseeing. My only gripe is that our room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. So moving our luggage was exhausting.
Staff is great. They're nice, friendly,& very helpful. The hostel is a bit run down:the tiles on the stairs are cracked, the wooden frames are splintered, the beds and pillows are basically gym mats, the couches are grey/dusty, and the bathroom floors are always wet or smell like pee. By all standards, even hostels, this place is below average. The vibe of the hostel is basically partying, drinking, smoking. There is nothing wrong with that, but if that's not your scene, you should move on.
Amazing hostel. It is modern, sleek, very clean, and has a helpful staff. WiFi is only on the top floor, but this is a great way to get everyone out of the room and socialize. Breakfast includes fruit, cereal, bread with various spreads, deli meat, cheese, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice
Joshua is awesome! He is really friendly and helpful. The hostel doesn't come with breakfast, there are tons of places near by with delicious, inexpensive food.
Nice staff and great for partiers. Rooms are very small and there is only wifi in the common room which closes around 12:30. I randomly had to switch rooms, but they stored my luggage while I hit the town.
