third time staying here, this place has so much character and venice beach is such a unique part of L.A. I would not stay anywhere else. The staff is really helpful and the hostel does a descent enough breakfast and an okay dinner which is better than nothing.
Great Hostel a street back from the main road, was a little hard to find. But the owner Dora was really sweet, she was so helpful with lots of local information and made great breakfasts everyday. The private room was good size and she supplied us with plenty of drinking water.
Really enjoyed our stay here, I normally stay in venice beach so this was my first stay in Santa Monica, the hostel is huge, everything is new they have fantastic facilities, basically everything you want in a hostel and a great breakfast.
This place is well located to the square, the staff could be a little more enthusiastic and the breakfast was terrible, this place is very small so they served our breakfast on the pool table while everyone hovered around it picking at breakfast. The kitchen is outside because they obviously didnt have anywhere else to put it, a very pokey strange hostel.
I had read good reviews about this place. They were right, good staff, good breakfast, they had theyre own proper cleaning staff there so the place was well looked after. The bar and outside area was good to hangout in and they helped us organize a couple of trips while there. Thanks guys! ( also very well located to the beach)
I was very suprised about this place, the staff were very helpful and spoke excellent english. The town of Uyuni is not amazing but this hostel was a nice little comfortable place to stay, good sized rooms with a heater because Uyuni can get very cold at night and a good sized bathroom in the twin private room. Bread and Jam for Breakfast.
This place was okay, a little far from the main square and the staff were not overly friendly and did not speak great english. We had a twin room that was like a hotel room quite big with its own bathroom. There were a lot of dogs barking near our window which was quite noisy but thats peru. Also the breakfast was very average, only so much stale bread one can eat!!
Good hostel in Cusco.
Stayed here one night, was a little walk from the train station but it was comfortable and they did a great breakfast for us which included an egg instead of the basic bread and jam you get in every hostel. nice touch! they had a good setup with the showers and bathrooms swell.
Chaska Wasi was great, the owner is such a nice lady and the hostel is located perfectly on the square in Ollantaytambo. We stayed here one night and caught the train to macchu picchu the next day, on the way back we decided to stay here again instead of going through to cusco. Lovely town and lovely hostel.
I always like to stay in Venice beach when I am in LA, and this hostel the best location for that. The staff are good they do a nice breakfast and the dorm rooms even have there own bathrooms. They had a karaoke night on while I was there which was good fun. This hostel has great character.
This hostel was good and bad, could do with some work by the owners mainly the kitchen and the door handles that are falling off. The staff do a good job and they organise some neat events during the week
I stayed at this hostel for about 3 weeks and made it my home in Tokyo, this place is great value for money and they were kind enough to give me a good price for staying long term. They place could really do with some work though, the kitchen is really lacking in anything to cook with, they only had one set of cutlery and everything is looking very tired. A lot of the fixings in the place really need replacing. The bar is great downstairs and they did organize some cool events while I was there
Stayed here for a week, a Japanese experience that has to be done. Perfect if you in Tokyo for a couple of nights out, well located to nightspots. Although you have to get out around 10 every day, so make sure you have a plan to hangout somewhere whilst being hungover in the day just so you dont get caught .
If you have never stayed in a capsule hotel and you want to be close to everything and central to town, shinjuku is a great place to start( right near the main train station and the central bus station). Here you are two stops on the train from Shibuya, so is easy to have night out. As long as you are comfortable getting naked and bathing and showering with the rest of the guests this place is a one off japanese experience right in the heart of kabuchiko.
Great hostel if your in Tokyo, the place is small so you normally have to book in advance, but the staff are always super helpful and there is a neat space for making food and chilling out.
Great place to stay in Sapporo, very small but comfortable and very central to everything. Jimmy was a great guy and super helpful.
What can you say, a capsule is an experience you have to try. I stayed here one night, its right in the heart of osaka near all the bars and restaurants. Cheap and cheerful, there is no showers but a large enough shared onsen on the bottom floor. Good place to stay if you are in osaka for the weekend and want to hit the bars.
Awesome place to stay when visiting osaka, nice and close to everything. The beds in the dorm were huge and comfortable. I had a great stay here.
This place rocks!! if you are staying in Asakusa stay here, I have stayed in three hostels in Asakusa and this was the best by far. Great staff, great bar, great rooms. Keep up the good work.
This place was easy enough to find and was right near the Ship Docks by the river which was great after getting of my river cruise. The common area has a good bar, pool tables. The food they serve here is good too, great menu and decent portions, I had lunch when I checked in, and breakfast the next morning. A very nice break from Chinese food. I Definitely recommend here if you are staying in Chongqing.
We stayed a total of 3 nights, our double room was a twin bunk bed( not ideal for a couple) and the room we had was right near the street which was very loud plus there was a very bright street light outside our window. The common room was nice, but going downstairs to have a shower was a bit of a hassle. Other than that the staff were extremely helpful and the location wasn't too bad.
Nice Quiet location near hells and a lot of great onsens. The host charged us a small fee of 300yen to pick us up when we arrived to Beppu via bus, and was really helpful in letting us know all the local attractions and places to eat. The rooms were great value for money. There was no stove top or toaster if you are intending on doing any of your own cooking as this is not a hostel, although there are great places to eat nearby. note: the steak place down the road is great!!
We really like the Ks house chain, This one is another great hostel. everything you need, a clean and functional hostel with great kitchen and common area. Thumbs up.
We stayed here one night, this place has great character and is very central to everything... the private rooms are huge. The only downside is the kitchen is quite small and you only get wifi in the common room. There is a little restaurant attached here that makes a killer vegetable curry.
Very beautiful old Japanese style home with a nice garden. The hosts were so nice and helpful, this place has a lot of character and is very central to everything.. wanted to stay longer
We stayed here for 8 nights, 6 in a dorm and 2 in a private room. The place is very big, lots of room to spread yourself out and make yourself at home, it is comfortable the staff are great and it has everything you need including breakfast and a bar next door if you need it. Really liked it here.
This place is very new, like staying in someones home, the hosts are very friendly and they organised a great day trip with one of there friends which has been one of the highlights of our trip.
We really enjoyed staying here. Me and my partner had a dorm room the first night. rooms and beds were large, with good facilities and own personal lockers in the hall. After that we stayed in a private room that was a good size, ( only bad thing I have to say if the staff are reading this get rid of those god awful rice filled pillows, normal ones are much better) :). The location was great and the staff were very helpful, would definitely recommend.
This place has a very homely feel. The couple running this hostel are very nice and picked us up and dropped us off to the train station. Also had good bikes we could use, which makes seeing Matsumoto alot easier. The only downside to this hostel was the internet was really slow on a computer of theres we had to use and there was no wifi, it can make things hard for booking accommodation ahead.
We came to Kawaguchi-ko to climb Mt fuji and found this place great. Right opposite the train station ( very easy if you have a bit of luggage) and 20 metres walk to catch the bus up to the 5th station on Mt Fuji. The staff were friendly and we had a nice sized japanese style room for the two of us with hot green tea waiting for us in our room. There is not a lot of atmosphere here as its not a hostel, but a perfect no fuss place to stay.
We stayed here on our first week in Japan, the rooms were tiny the beds tiny. The kitchen was cramped and the common area is in the main reception area which doesn't feel like a very relaxed place to hang out with people coming and going. Just okay nothing special.
Good setup, not very clean. liked the bar and trivia.
Very big dorm, central enough and clean. Friendly staff. no complaints.

Good Fun, Good Location felt like a good safe haven for mexico city! ;)
Had a great time, everyone was there to have a good time. If you want to stay in a relaxed area where theres good surf and food I would reccommend. Hostel is well located on the main street.
