Sakura Hostel Asakusa

Tokyo, Japan

Old hotel turned into a hostel. Sometimes it was hard to find, it's behind an amusement park right near the 5 story pagoda. Free Wi-fi on every floor and several computers in the common room free to use. Common room lacked atmosphere. Kitchen was quite small. The rooms have air con and the bed was quite comfy. Staff were helpful. I preferred another hostel in Tokyo.

My favourite hostel in Asia. Easy to locate in a nice quiet area. 3 mins from metro. All staff were really nice. Helped me getting to sports games. Free Wi-fi and 1 free computer to use. Light and power beside each bed, rooms ventilated. Washing/ dryer on the roof that was pretty cheap. Kitchen. Free Ear buds! Great stay, keep it up. Thanks guys.

With over 700 beds this place can be quite hectic. A bit away from the touristy places but a metro stop is nearby. Washing machines are pretty cheap. Computers not so much. Breakfast is 2 items a day (1 drink, 1 bagel) which isnt so great as other HI's I've stayed in have unlimited breakfast.

Stylish hostel. Relatively new facilities. You can borrow an ipad for 30 mins if the computer is being used. Free Printing. Bar plus Basement area for beer pong. You wont hear much noise in your room during the night which is good but. Pretty cool overall.

Good location, just around from Old Town square. Set in an old apartment building, maybe needs a bit of a revamp. Free computers to use downstairs as well as a kitchen open untill 2AM. Slight mix up with my booking but got upgraded so its all good.

Wombats are always super clean. Massive common room which connects bar and kitchen. Probably better if you are travelling with others due to its size.

The night inside Earl was interesting. Most of the people staying went to the same show as me at the Arena (convenient 5 minute walk) The beds and facilities are far from clean. There is free WIFI.

Overall I rate this hostel as one of the best ive stayed in. The only negatives i would say is i didnt like how a staff member would have to let me in if i came back after 11PM, and the breakfast finishes too early. Pretty good music/ vibe in the common room and bar area.

Worst hostel ive stayed in, they cant justify why they increase rates during Summer. The kitchen is horrible, the whole place needs to be renovated. Atleast its in a decent location off Queensway.

This is probably the cleanest Hostel i found in Hyde Park, and you could actually do washing in a clean environment. The staff were helpful. The only negative i would say is the beds are quite small.
