Good cheap hotel in a central location. Clean and quiet.

Apartamento Plus

Santander, Spain

A part of Santander is situated on the very steep hill and the hostel is located near the very top. So you can easily access every point in the city from the hostel by foot, but return may take longer time. Everything else was good, especially the facilities: small freezer in the room, fully equipped kitchen, good wifi. Also, thanks to very friendly and helpful hostel owner!

Hotel Abanico

Seville, Spain

Very pleasant hotel in picturesque andalusian style. Our room (twin private) was really large and cozy. Good location: about 10 min by foot from the Cathedral and Real Alcazar, just about 50 meters from Casa de Pilatos. The only disadvantage was weak WiFi signal in the room (OK in the common space).

Hostal Navas 14

Granada, Spain

Good location. Our room was clean. However, it obviously needs some renovation and repairs (bathroom door, for example, was almost broken). The window opened to a sort of wide ventilation shaft with many working inlets, so the air outside was very stale. Not the worst choice for money, but could be better.

Hotel Riviera Cordoba

Cordoba, Spain

Large and very clean room, quiet street, friendly staff. Located in the middle of the distance from the railway station to the Mezquita (main touristic site), this hotel is very convenient to those who travel by train, like we did. 10-15 min by foot from the very centre.

THC Bergantin Hostel

Madrid, Spain

Very nice place to stay in Madrid. Definitely worth the money. Central location, large rooms, everyday cleaning. The street is a little bit noisy at night, but this is a common problem for all hostels in that location, I assume. Two more notes: 1) common space is small, more like in a hotel with reception and rooms, than in a hostel. 2) We booked "twin private" - it is still two beds moved together like a "double private", not a large one.

Rome, Italy

Very clean and cozy rooms less than 5 min by foot from the Roma Termini railway station (and key subway node). Everyday cleaning, air condition, free cookies. Very friendly staff. Just excellent, nothing to add. The only annoying thing was door lock in the bathroom - dear hostess, please replace it for your future guests :)

Arcoveggio Hotel

Bologna, Italy

Good place to stay in Bologna. Large room (we booked twin private) with air-conditioning, everyday cleaning. Fast wifi for 1 euro. Friendly staff. Location is a little bit far from the city center, but still accesible by foot (about 30-40 min from the very center, 15 min from the railway station) or by bus. Large grocery store nearby.

La Magnolia B&B

Verona, Italy

Can't say much about the hostel by itself, because there were some problems with the room that we booked, so we were housed in a different location. However, the staff was friendly and helpful and our new room was even closer to the city center, large and clean. The only disadvantage was the breakfast. I've seen better ones before.

Good hostel in the nice old building. Advantages: 1. Very friendly stuff. 2. Fridge with the freezer (at least in twin private). 3. Clean linen with towels included. 4. Really good location - a little bit exotic but not unsafe. Disadvantages: 1. Floors could be much more cleaner! 2. I didn't found any trash bin in my room or in the lobby. 3. One of the power plugs was nearly crushed and seemed to be dangerous to use. 4. Outer door lock needed to be replaced - it was hard to open.

Williamsburg HostL

New York, USA

Very nice and comfortable little hostel. The main disadvantage is that the floors and the stairway are very squeaky and it is hard to fall asleep sometimes (and you also have no chance to leave quietly at the early morning). Price is high even for NYC.
