Be warned it's huge and filled with large groups. The bar is usually a sauna filled with some fairly immature people, at least when I was there. Common areas are really designated for Wifi usage, not much for socializing. As a solo traveler, I disliked the hostel quite a bit. Good location though, clean, good value for the breakfast, many tours start there, and competent staff.
Hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Great location, clean, good facilities (kitchen, movie room, internet room), but that's besides the point. The staff and other guests become a family, and you feel like you're home in this hostel. Staff takes you out every night, there's family dinners, you can walk around with no shoes and kick your feet up on a chair and chat with anyone as if you've known them forever. I don't want to take my wristband off, will always have great memories.
Good location (right by S-Bahn station, and walking distance to good bars, restaurants, groceries), good facilities, clean, breakfast is really worth the money imo. I enjoyed it, though there's limited space in the common area and outside, which made it a little bit harder to meet people when travelling alone. In any case, I think it's a good atmosphere, but I wouldn't call it a party hostel. Had a good time though, would recommend it, though more to groups than solo travelers.
I loved the hostel. Clean, good accommodations, including good kitchen to cook in. Common area is great, easy to meet people when travelling alone. Generous happy hour at the bar, and comfortable vibe every night. No real activities organized by the hostel, but I would recommend it nonetheless.
Good atmosphere, though try not to get trapped in the smoking room, it sucks you in. A little further from the main attraction though next to Vondelpark and Leidesplein, so no real complaints. The staff are nice enough, and helpful enough, but they tend to band together and hang out smoking all the time, which can be intimidating or irritating for people travelling alone trying to meet other travelers. Then again, I spent a great night hanging out with them. Good hostel for a laid back vibe.
Close to everything, but everything is close by in Bruges. Pretty good atmosphere in the bar which serves up some of the cheapest beer in town. I had a fantastic time there. Good kitchen, nice enough showers (though you have to cross the bar and a courtyard, and only usable till 11:30). Would recommend it anytime.
This hostel is in a fantastic location, which is not the case for most Parisian hostels. It isn't nearly as dirty as people seem to find, sure the showers aren't shining, but they're okay and the rooms are clean. The common areas are great for meeting people as well, I had a fantastic time as a solo traveler there. My only qualms were the tiny fridge for storing food, as well as the hot plates, no stove. Would recommend the hostel any day.
Nice accommodations, though bunk beds in my room were very tight. Enjoyed the free breakfast. Clean showers and washrooms, overall clean hostel. Nice common areas, but they're no good for meeting anyone, would never recommend this hostel to any solo travelers. Staff were friendly enough. I liked it, but I wouldn't come back or recommend it, unless to a large group. Good location, less than ten minutes to King's Cross-St. Pancras.
