Was a great hostel, very clean and fun activities in a great location of the city!
floors are really really squeaky which is loud at night. other than that the place was great.
This was an amazing hostel, and very very social! Met some great people, including the owner Brian who invited us out to reggae night at the local bar roots and bought a few rounds! The breakfast is great (pancakes and fruit) and the kitchen is huge and well stocked. So many great things to do here, you hardly want to leave! it is close to great food places, and the college campus, and walking distance to the main part of san jose. A must stay!
I had this hostel booked because of the good reviews. Upon arrival though, we found the kitchen a mess, and the fridge filled with stale old food, with no room. We did not end up staying, but instead found a very nice hostel for a few dollars cheaper closer to the town area that had more restaurants and bars around it. The front desk clerk did not no much info about booking or rates since he only worked there 1 day a week. It might be good for some people , but this place was not for us.
Best hostel in Samara! Staff was all very friendly (hey Sabrina!), kitchen is big and very clean, great outdoor space with hammocks and a small pool and patio and the rooms are very comfortable with plenty of restrooms throughout the building. A few minute walk to the beach, and 1 minute walk to all the great beach front bars and restaurants.
This was a great hostel just a 10 min walk outside of town and right on the lake shore. Clean and good facilities in all aspects and the staff is very friendly!
This was one fun and crazy place! The main lobby has everything you can need plus a bar, and it serves free dinner and breakfast which is pretty awesome. It's a bit inconvenient, but understandable that all the electrical outlets are in the lobby only to deter theft from rooms. My only complaint about this place was that i was HOT. I went in mid October, and still it was so hot in the rooms with no draft or AC and even in the lobby.
Overall a great experience at this hostel. The staff here really goes out of the way to ensure you have everything you need and have a fun time. They have free food in the evening and also organized events like bar crawls (small fee, the guides were great!) and walking tours (free but tip the guide, Harriet was great!) Some downsides were... Shower heads were broken in the shower Fridge space was completely packed and they smelled terrible
This place was great!! Awesome rooftop porch, free pancakes in the AM, great multiple common areas and also the rooms were situated pretty well. Staff was incredibly helpful and will spend as much time with you as needed to get out a map and direct you to anything you might be interested in to make you feel comfortable about the city. Overall great experience, highly recommended place that is close to all the nightlife and just north of the mall. Also close to some city bike shares stops.
Overall a good place to stay that is near the nightlife (Chinatown, DuPont circle, etc) and also just north of the Mall. Close to a few city bike locations which is a great way to get around. A few minor issues. Pillow wasn't very good and the bunk beds are pretty squeaky when either person rolls over. So bring some earplugs.
Great place to stay!
We arrived at 1am, and the check in process was easy. The room was decent, and included clean towels, but other areas were not the cleanest (bed had some hairs). There is a rock and roll bar in the basement of the building, and there was a concert going on. If we weren't so tired, and liked the music, it would have been a great time. But we were exhausted, and didn't care much for the music. So don't plan on quite (the place was shaking) until after 2am, Bring earplugs, or join their fun!
