The staff here are amazing - So friendly and helpful and provide great service. Some of the beds weren't as comfy as others, and a bit cold inside, which were the only bad things. Breakfast is great.

GOOD - most things, very nice new comfortable decent price BAD - kitchen is a little small and lots of people use it, to have power in the room it requires someones key to be in the door, which got a bit awkward at times (someone takes there key from the door and the person showering loses lights & power)

Youthhostel Zurich

Zurich, Switzerland

GOOD: clean, comfortable, great breakfast, great staff, there is a great charity shop where you get off the tram for the hostel (if you like charity shopping like me) BAD: in the dorms with ensuites there are no lockers, expensive but all Zurich accommodation options are. When you get there you have to pay an extra 6CHF if you're not a hosteling international member, which isn't outlined when you book. Only Wifi in half of the ground floor lobby.

GOOD - staff were lovely and helpful, free breakfast, location is good, we could leave our bags until we 5pm the day of checkout BAD - for a double room we got twin bed which was horrible, we fell down inbetween the beds at one point and mattress were vertical, the bathroom stunk (it seemed there was a problem with the drains), lots of noise from other guests arriving home at 5am

I wouldn't stay here again - double room was actually a twin room, with no space, bathroom smelt, you have to pay for wifi, staff were difficult to find, the fan broke on us. We didn't enjoy our stay at all.

Old Town Hostel East Wing

Kotor, Montenegro

The staff and atmosphere was great - every night they had some thing, like free sangria, free shots and free mussels - Amazing. The staff really get involved with you and with the other guests. The only thing was that we could lock our dorm door which exited to the outside world, however Kotor seemed quite safe. The bathroom was a bit of a water pit on the ground which was a bit horrible. Very spacey dorms.

We had a double private. Lots of space with large kitchen and bathroom to be shared with 2 other doubles. It was great for a nice relaxing night. However it was in a separate building to the dorms and common rooms etc, so atmosphere was missing.

Doesn't really have any hostel/warm vibe about it, is kind of just beds above a restaurant. But it is secure clean and good for a single night stay etc. Staff weren't very friendly. There was a lift which was great.

Our stay was great. This hostel has a very homely feel. The dorm we had was huge with plenty of space. The staff were great, and the guy that worked the nights Che was really helpful and had good advice on what to do or where to go in the city. Would stay there again.

The manager was amazing, so lovely and so helpful. The only thing was the place was very dirty, kitchen and bathrooms, and frequently no toilet paper. Also, when I arrived I had to throw out mouldy watermelon x2 to make room to put food in the fridge, however the staff threw out my food before my departure date and expiry date clearly marked on it.
