Not too bad location being on the west side of south beach instead of the east considering the price you're paying for it. Just a few extra blocks to the beach. The rooms are actually quite spacious and weren't completely filled while I was there. The lock wasn't working for my room and it was constantly left half closed which kind of posed as a security issue but had all my important stuff locked up in the locker anyway. There is a free BBQ cheeseburger dinner every Saturday. Overall good palce

Awesome place to stay at if you're the party kind. Very nice environment to chill out and meet new people. There are activities going on every night. I partied for 6 nights in a row while I was there. My stay at another hostel was not as favourable. This hostel is the only one which has breakfast (not that many people wake up to eat it cause of late night partying), lunch and dinner all inclusive. There's happy hour from 4-5pm daily whereby it's 2-for-1 beers at $3. Lacking power sockets though.

Best hostel I've stayed in so far in my life. Friendly staff and multiple daily tours/activities. Huge patio by the front to chill and meet new people. 2 power sockets by the headboard for everyone and another 2 more in each locker for secure charging of electronics. The additional panel at the side of the head also shields stray light from reaching the eyes to ensure a perfect sleep. Cheap all you can eat dinners costing $6 from spaghetti to cheeseburgers. Large laundry room as well.

City Hostel Seattle

Good location in downtown and everything was within walking distance. The space needle, underground tour, Chinatown, Pike Market to name a few. Problem though as with most other hostels is that there aren't enough power sockets around and they are not strategically located near the beds also. Security is good with the key card system and ensuring that everyone waves the key card to the front desk before they can go upstairs. Breakfast was included as well.

Location is perfect. Right smack on Granville St within walking distance from the City Centre metro. Large social room to meet different people from all over. Met lots of French and Germans on the first night I arrived and we went out clubbing for someone's birthday party. Good security measures whereby the pin for the door is changed daily at 2pm. Washer and dryer services included. Towel available in case you forgot to bring yours.

The location was perfect - right in the village. It was also conveniently located near the bus terminal to catch bus 747 to and fro the airport. In addition, the hostel was very homely and had a nice rustic feel to it. The social area was very happening and I made many friends there whom I hanged out with a night, during the day and whenever we could. Met many different people from around the world and this should be the place to go to if you want to meet more people.

40 Berkeley Hostel

Boston, USA

40 Berkeley feels almost like a hotel if not for the fact that there are no attached washrooms that's all. There is breakfast included and the reception also gives out free cookies during the day. There is also a popcorn cart located at the far end of the lobby. The location could not have been better, being about a mile from South Station. This helped us save greatly on public transportation. The room was spacious and our triple room had 3 single beds. There weren't any bunks in our room at all

New York Budget Inn

New York, USA

New York Budget Inn provides the best location at the most affordable price. Located on the SE corner of 34th st and 3rd ave, it places one in the heart of Manhattan. The members of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Anthony too for going the extra mile to help me collect 5 empty toilet rolls overnight so that I can roll up and keep a painting that I had purchased safe.

Excellent place. The members of the staff were so warm and welcoming. It was very homely too and most of the guests hung together in the common TV area when they were in the hostel with nothing to do. It was literally a home away from home. Never have I seen a hostel with such a vibrant environment where the guests really mingled amongst each other.

Very homely place. Location couldn't have been better considering that it is literally a stone's throw from the Takoma subway station.

Could afford to install a lift though so customers won't need to carry the luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
