An old 4 star hotel turned into a hostel. I've payed several times more to stay in hotels that are no where near as nice as this hostel.

Bella Beatrice

Rome, Italy

We booked to stay in Bella Beatrice but were put in Bella Roma which was owned by the same people and literally on the opposite side of the road. The other people there all had the same story. The room was clean and seemed fairly new, firm bed made every day, flat screen TV, fridge, good Air Con, windows out onto street, en suite bathroom and shower. Breakfast was self prepared packed croissants, cereal and coffee and left a lot to be desired. Location was great, short walk to Colosseum.

Goodmorning Lisbon Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

This is easily the best Hostel I have ever stayed in. The character, atmosphere and the staff were all top notch. Every evening we stayed we ended up in the lounge where the staff would arrange a drink or food session and everyone would get together and socialize. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, with seemingly 2 staff on 24/7 and a cleaner every day. The facilities all seem new and are excellent, all kept pristine. I would have exp[ected to pay twice as much for such an amazing place!

Lybeer Travellers' Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

The staff couldnt have been anymore helpful and friendly and genuinly took time to answer questions and help as much as possible. The location is ideally central and close to the station. The hostel itself is starting to look a little run down, no holder for the shower head, gaps on the shared toilet door, broken internet computer e.t.c.

Hotel D'Amiens

Paris, France

The location is very close to the Gare du Nord but a distance from the centre and in an arguably unsafe neighbourhood. The staff at the hotel seems nonchelant and disinterested in anything. The room was clean and tidy but with dated furniture. The room had a lock on but leaving luggage behind was in an open room anyone off the street could access. Breakfast was croisants, bread, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. It was filling if you binged, but was cheap and basic.
