This is a great hostel: cozy, well equipped, clean and friendly staff! The location is good in the Chapinero area - you can take the Milenio bus downtown on Calle 70 w 15 min walking - and it's safe and quiet. Dorms are small, but nicely designed w curtains, electrical socket and reading light next to the bed, great modern shower and bathrooms and a big, well appointed kitchen! Living room, TV room, a bright yellow patio and PCs for free Internet use available. Also waited for me until 12.30 AM!

This is a fun place to stay, hostel with restaurant/bar at the edge of the historic center where it's easy to meet people. The facilities are good, breakfast with several options is included in the price and staff is very helpful. Hot water and pressure is a bit unreliable and the noise from the bar (approximately until midnight) might disturb somebody, but I would still recommend this place and happily return.

Great location in beautifully restored historic building 2 blocks from Zocalo, clean and modern, rates include good breakfast as well! Super-friendly staff, ready to assist 24/7, sale of drinks and basic cosmetics at reception and good trips on program (I went to Teotihuacan and enjoyed it very much). Only complaint is that the TV in the lounge often blares until late at night, it's the guest's fault, but they should restrict the use and volume a bit.. Still fully recommended!

Great location with happy young crowd in courtyard, enjoying table tennis, basketball and freedom to hang out. Tiki garden on back, where the breakfast is served, is a nice quiet place to chill or use your tablet, as it has lots of electrical outlets. Breakfast is simple, but given the comparably cheap rates, a bonus. Dorms w own fridge and kitchen, only drawback is that mine had beds divided between entrance area and other bedroom, so people going to the later disturb others passing through.

Though at 49 I'm older than the average hostel client, I had a great time at Sihome, enjoying the friendly laid-back atmosphere and met lots of nice people with whom to exchange travel tips. The lounge is really nice to hang out and have breakfast, which is included in the amazingly low rates and was served by smiling Rob! Only drawbacks were the bathroom situation with none on the upper floor of the outside dorms and the (sadly common) lack of a few hooks on the walls for coats, towels etc.

My stay was pleasant, nice laid-back atmosphere, cozy communal facilities and friendly staff! Breakfast is available paying extra, but good. Location is great w many restaurants&bars around the corner and downtown walking distance! Cons: I found 160 R a bit pricey for a 6 bed dorm, the showers could be in better shape and need more hooks to hang up your stuff, the lockers in the rooms are too small for a laptop and the communal kitchen is a bit abandoned on the lower floor. Would return anyway!
