Hostel felt like home. Owners are genuine and helped us arrange a cab to see the sites in Datong. Also called a bus company to take my friend and I back to Beijing, and recommended places to eat. Very clean hostel, the feeling is more like an apartment. It is a bit pricey for China, but its definitely worth a comfortable stay and the staff will help you arrange everything you need.

24 hour bar. Play Austin Powers on a projection screen. Huge common area, it wasn't crowded when we stayed but if it were it would be really easy to meet people. Can't drink own alcohol in hostel. The floors were kind of dusty/dirty, but the toilets, showers and bedsheets were clean. Lockers for every bed, free locks at reception. Pool table. Easy to go out and get to all major sites from hostel. Great stay!

Not a good place to hang out and meet people. Stayed with a large group, mostly older people or large groups. Awesome location. No lockers. Clean rooms, pretty big. Not the best hostel ever but a place to sleep, better for groups not meeting others.

Value for money because of the awesome location. Hostel was clean but dingy-needs some paint and new tiles on the floor-staff meant business, they weren't looking to accommodate you. There is a common area where you can smoke so that was cool. Not a good atmosphere to meet people. Basically the best deal for the location if you are with a group don't stay here if you are alone. It's just a bed to sleep in. They have lockers but you have to buy a lock
