Central location, comfy beds, great staff. Second time around and will definitely go back once back in Sarajevo again. Thanks! :-)
The staff is in a rather affluent area, so it's very clean and classy around, with the many embassies in the area. Take time to explore Gloucester Rd and the Kensington area. Ten minute walk to an underground station, including the Piccadilly line to Heathrow. Facilities are fine, have all that you need. My three bed dorm had a bathroom to ourselves, good temp at night. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, they answered my million questions. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks! :-)
Stayed here for a night at the start and end of my trip, as my home flights go through LA. Had been to Santa Monica before, so chose it for the relaxing feel - beach, walking and biking around. Wished I stayed longer so that I could have taken advantage of the hostel's tour to the Getty Museum. Met nice people, the staff were friendly, and the facilities adequate. The showers weren't the CLEANEST the second time around, but think that was only because I beat the cleaners to it. Would stay again
Facilities were great and hostel clean. Even though it is a fairly big hostel, it was easy to meet people (especially during breakfast). The area is more affluent and feels safe. BEACH, restaurants, stores and sites all around. Downtown is easy to get to by public transport. However, if you feel like a short walk for an hour or so, the close beach is easier rather than going downtown. It completely suited my needs for eight nights. See you next time!
I was in Santa Monica at the start and end of my trip; I chose the area because it is more laid back - I wanted something easy going and when I feel like going for a walk, prefer the beach rather than downtown. Also, close to the airport and to the Getty Museum. My four bed dorm was fine, clean, and had a lot of space for bags. As all HI hostels, it is very big so it may have an impersonal feel. Will stay again.
If only 200% was possible! Majda is the sweetest woman you will ever meet, nobody can make you feel as welcome and as cared about as she does. Amira from the hostel is just as nice, always interested in what you are doing and giving you a friendly smile. The rooms are comfy and clean, while the common rooms feel like home. The tour with Bata is hilarious, adventurous and totally worth it! Admir, you make a delicious breakfast.
Fantastic place! Stayed with four nights with a friend and felt right at home. Nice and comfy, clean bathrooms and kitchen, cheeky house cat, the friendliest staff. We felt comfortable hanging around long after check-out, feeling extremely welcome. Thanks guys, know where to come back to the next time I'm in Budapest!
Good spot right next to the train station, as well as near lots of fresh food places. Main square only a twenty minute walk away. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable. It is great for a younger crowd - being so big and always busy.
Our private room was very spacious and clean, with a good view. The rafting pub crawl was a day well spent, we were lucky to get a good crew. It is quite close to the train station, so makes it possible to be walked to with backpacks. Great restaurant attached. Just too bad that the staff were abit forgetful when promising to do things for you - better to say you're busy so we can do it ourselves. Otherwise, great time at Cesky Krumlov.
Nice cosy common room with comfy couches, blankets, lots of cartoons or a movie if it's preferred. Breakfast isn't too early and has enough to choose from. Staff are friendly and always willing to help, even when off duty. Rooms are spacious with comfz beds, enough space to lock away belongings. Location is quite good for bars and has less tourists than the city centre. Trams and buses are very close by.
Very comfortable, friendly and has a homely feel. Not one unfriendly person in there. It's not often you become close with a large group of people. The staff were caring, helpful, fun and always there. Rooms were average but clean and comfy. The showers - wish I knew how to work them! At least they looked cool. Was hoping for a bigger brekkie... Walking distance to everything; try the Jewish Quarter for great cafes - quirky places with tasty food and great coffee! Four nights wasn't enough
It is in a good spot, amongst the gorgeous architecture and walking distance to everything. The rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms (tad annoying having to hold a lever to keep the water going). Bar had a good atmosphere. Staff were friendly, just the walking tour guide could do with a bit of a smile! Met some great people there, would stay there again.
First impressions suggested disorganistion, but the team really made it work and we absolutely loved it. The bar itself may make you step back, but give it a chance and you'll meet so many sweet Belgians who want to have a chat. Special thank you to Pablo and Keyvan for being sweet and hilarious and for taking care of us with everything that we needed. It may not appear perfect, but it is clean and comfy, and has that quirkiness like Antwerp itself. So many laughs, will definitely be back!
Stayed in a 6 bed female ensuite. Only four beds were taken, and all of the roommates were lovely so I felt confident about my belongings. However, if it was a different matter, the locker is very small and can only fit a small bit. The showers were new and sparkling clean, as were the beds and the rest of the room. The staff were very friendly and suggested places/things to see. Provided all necessary information, and were just plain sweet. Only the internet is was EXTREMELY slow...
