I got in late and their front desk closes at 10:30pm so they left my key in the mailbox on the front porch. Anyone could've found that. Normally they require each guest to do a chore but there were only 4 people at the time so we didn't have to. Good breakfast: eggs, toast, pancakes, coffee. Friendly staff, somewhat close to downtown bars and restaurants.

The hostel is half way between the beach and the bars - great location! Separate men's and women's restrooms is nice and free parking! Very warm during the summer, uncomfortable to sleep. Common area has games and it was easy to meet people. No alcohol allowed was a definite negative to staying at this hostel

Rooms had bugs and one electrical outlet per room. The staff wasn't too friendly. The showers and toilets were basically sheds or outhouses and smelled terrible. All of the rooms opened to a noisy courtyard where all of the bar attendants would hang out until 2am. The kitchen was small and not fully stocked, no knives & forks. There were two computers for guests, although one didn't work and one had a virus. 3.50 euros to sheets, 1 euro for a towel. No one allowed in their rooms between 12 & 4.

Walking distance to the tube, so it was convenient for the airport as well as train station. It was my first hostel experience and it made high expectations for hostels in the future. Although I didn't like the 3-high bunk beds, the top was very shaky. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and you needed two passcodes to get into your dorm, good security. The lights were on a timer, turned off at a certain time at night then had a 15-minute interval if you turned them back on, it was inconvenient.
