I've stayed at over a hundred hostels all around the world. The top 3 would be in the US and this hostel is one of those. Unlike most hostels it was an absolute pleasure staying there. The hostel is fantastic with great facilities even including a swimming pool ! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and even tho it looks like a little way out of town there's a cheap but that goes past every 10'minutes and the neighbourhood is full on cafe, bars, supermarket etc. An absolute awesome place

Pretty good hostel to stay at close to French quarter but older house. Quite noisey at times but it's New Orleans party place bourbon St so if that's what you're into then great. But if you want a nice quiet laid back hostel to stay at this place is not for you. Overall it's pretty basic as hostels are concerned. They think they do a good job but really it's just average.

I made a mistake with this hostel as I got it confused with the YHA hostel further up Mason St. This hostel is really old run down and dirty . Seriously you guys tidy your act up this is not good enough for Central San Francisco. Go up the road to the YHA hostel and see how a decent hostel should be run. It was bad staying there and would be awful to work there. Very unimpressed.

A cheap and cheerful place to stay in central old town Miami. We chose to stay there than the more popular Miami beach to get away from the young party people. So if it's young partying you want go to Miami beach. But for a well located and easily accessible place the leaking ton is good. It's very old Nd has recently had a coat of paint. But for the money it's ok.

This is a great hostel. These people are really switched on in running a business. Super clean hostel with great facilities in a good location. I've stayed at over a hundred hostels and this is one of the best. Highly reccommended.

This hostel is in a good location and the guys that run it are nice enough. It has poor facilities for a hostel. The boys toilets and showers are just really bad and the girls not much better. Our room faced a busy noisey street and was very hot no air conditioning. I would nt stay there again.
Thank you for leaving a review. Our hostel is a small hostel and probably the showers and toilets are not as big as in other bigger hostels..but you normally don`t have to wait to use them since we have normally few guests. And regarding the facilities, we just can`t agree with you, because there is a big livingroom that most of the guests enjoy while staying in Art City. However we are happy that you appreciated our staff and good location. Art City Team

Great location and reasonable hostel. Not much in the way of facilities. But with no air conditioning it's just way too hot. So hot it was nearly impossible to sleep which for a hostel is not acceptable

A pretty good place to stay excellent location next to the Termini. Quiet little hostel only afew rooms and limited guests. But good facilities free coffee , tea, cold drinks and abit if food that I've never experienced in another hostel. Good facilities and nice staff. Recommend it for sure.

In this hostel you not only have to pay a "city tax" but you also have to pay towels and linen as an extra. But the worst thing about this hostel is the noise. We stayed for 3 nites and it really bad every nite and the management refuse to be accountable for it. I've stayed in away better hostels in India and china so for a German hostel they should be ashamed of themselves. A very poor performance.
we are sorry, that you did not enjoy your stay. I have to say sorry for the loud groups which were in the house during your stay. Towels are free, you only pay a deposit of 5,00 euro which we return completely. The citytax has to be payed by every guest who visits berlin. We are also not happy with it. Martin

If you're looking for a party hostel that rages all nite close to town then this is your place. If you want a quiet hostel with great facilities then this is not your place. One of the worst hostels I've stayed in from all over the world. Poor facilities, young kids as staff and not very clean. They really need to tidy their act up on this hostel.

I've stayed in over a hundred hostels and this would be one of the best. A great location and looks like an ex hotel. Very clean with great facilities. Was an easy and great stay sad to leave as I knew the next hostel would be worse.

Accommodation in kaolin is hard to get, expensive and the facilities are very very small. These guys are very friendly that run it but we were staying in a different location to that shown on the map. So their was abit of shagging around checking in. We stayed in anew apartment recently kitted out very nicely but the planning is not very good. Tiny rooms and 1 bathroom / toilet between 8 people. But ok otherwise.

Had a ridiculously sized bar with a huge variety of choice in beer but no washing machine. Also you are not allowed to consume your own food and drink in their dining room you have to buy theirs. They are obviously more interested in making money rather than servicing guests. They seem to have the wrong focus on client needs. But it's an ok place to stay if you ignore their hotel mentality.
Hello and thanks for your stay.we do have laundry service here. You can stay in the bar without ordering food, also we have a garden there. We want to make everyone enjoy the stay here .Thanks for your suggestion

Cheap and cheerful hostel great location in pudong. An old hostel in one of the only older areas in pudong left so probably won't be there for a long time. But a good hostel and at the price you can't go wrong

Staff unhelpful to the point of totally disinterested mostly Mexican who could n't be bothered communicating in English. Rooms terribly small, 4 people crammed in with poor in room facilities. Not very clean and not ahostel feel more of a run down old hotel. It rates badly this place generall and I can see why. Not agreat experience.

Good location but very old hostel. Small rooms and scungy bathrooms.Small kitchen and lounge area. Poor internet not available in rooms.
We would like to thank you for your constructive review. It is true that you stayed just before we installed the Wifi in every room. But we hope that you still enjoyed the city. We are constantly doing renovations to improve the stay of every guest and we hope to see you soon at Smartplace Paris in case you visit Paris again. Travel safe !

my stay was tainted by the fact it was a weekend with lots of groups coming into party. They have abar in the hostel which is great if you want to drink and party. If you want to rest and sleep it's aterrible place to stay.

I've stayed in alot of hostels. This is probably one of the worst ones I've stayed in. Its overpriced, the facilities poor and the staff are unfriendly, unknowledgeable and unhelpful. No towels available and no laundry facilities. I would n't recommend it and won't be staying there again.

An ex hotel turned into a hostel so pretty good building with good facilities. Those German staff are hard work tho. Very unhelpful and not pleasant except for one guy who was excellent (student studying Acoustics at Uni). Great breakfast and great location.
