This place is huge but as a result it has lots of facilities and is protected by keycard entry. Nice to have a 4 bed dorm only and the free pancakes for breakfast. I enjoyed my stay so much, I actually returned

Friendly staff, free tea and coffee, lots of kitchen utensils, nice open common area which was quiet after 11 - vital for a decent sleep! The rooms were clean and pretty quiet at night. Little things could make a big difference.. More fridge space, another sink in the kitchen and most definitely more power sockets in the rooms, even extension cables or something. The doors don't lock automatically which was a bit of a concern as there are no lockers in the room to lock up valuables.

Nice quiet place. I was left waiting for reception to acknowledge me on my arrival though. I understand they were busy buy a simple hello while your guests are waiting in line prevents getting a bad first impression. The kitchen is a bit small for the size of the place, lack of bathrooms and a bit run down, but these are all part of staying in a very old house with character. Overall I had a peaceful stay here.
Hi, you may not have seen all the bathrooms. We have 10 showers and 12 toilets here which is more per guest than any hostel I have stayed in before. Sorry about the greeting as it is certainly not normal. We have a fantastic reputation at the reception counter, so your comments will be raised with all the staff.

Staff were friendly and helpful, massive kitchen area and TV lounge. Great location in the CBD. Seems to be a lot of long-stayers who aren't all that welcoming but that's not the hostel's fault. Overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
Hi there! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We all pride ourselves on our customer service and its great to see we are getting positive feedback about that. We do have a few long stayers here at the moment but we try to pick the best of the bunch! All the staff will be keeping an eye out for any anti social behaviour in the coming days. Thanks for the feedback and we hope you come stay with us again soon! :)

Good points; free laundry (use in the morning before the staff need them for sheets), good TV and kitchen facilities, good location in surfers. Bad points; No lockers so the rooms are a mess. Nobody locks doors so everything is open to be stolen. My roommates ruined my stay by having "intimate relations" on the double bed below me. Not sure why they need double beds in a hostel. Internet never works so free wifi is pointless, lack of power points in rooms so had to charge phones in lounge.

I enjoyed the big room and use of lockers in rooms, TV areas and the sauna. However, I stayed for 2 nights and on both nights there were questionable characters in my room. I know it's not the hostel fault necessarily, but maybe they should be a bit more selective. Night1 roommate had his laptop stolen from his backpack.. Night 2 a guy on drugs was hullucinating and shouting in his sleep until an older member of the room confronted him. Overall a nice place but the people weren't great!

Great location near the coast. Staff went out of their way to help me, even gave me a lift to the bus stop as it was low season and the driver wasn't very busy. Very chilled out place, really clean and nice communal areas including comfy TV room. I'd recommend this hostel 100%

A little hard to find in the dark but there are signs and directions. The staff are friendly but there isn't really much on offer to eat at the cafe upstairs. Overall it's cheap, clean and really close to the metro station, I'd recommend it.

It is very close to where the overnight buses drop you off so not far at all to walk. The staff were really helpful and friendly, not too pushy with tours. There are lots of nice places to eat nearby too. Only negative was that we had a lot of stairs to climb to get to our room.

Our room was clean and cool at night. The beds were a bit solid but not too bad. The staff were really friendly and helpful. One comment I would make is that our friend was drinking beers with us outside the hostel front and a guy jumped off a boke and grabbed her phone off the table, stealing it in a split second. I wouldn't say this is a bad point about sihome, just keep your valuables hidden in the area.

I've ebeen to Siam Journey twice now, 9months apart. They have doubled the communal space which is nice, clean and comfortable. The staff could do more... We arrived at 8am after a long train journey and there was no one at reception to check us in. Apparently the guy was asleep upstairs. We waited 2 hours to get into our room - which was empty the whole time. This sort of thing is a downer to what was otherwise a great clean, hostel, next to some authentic Thai street food and train/bts links.
Hi Fiona, Thanks for the feedback and i'm sorry to hear that you waited for that long. Due to this, we will ensure that the morning shift is aware of any early check-ins. That is if they let us know in advanced that they will be arriving before the 12pm check in time. Thanks, SiamJourney

Don't understand why they wouldn't price match the hostelworld price when I was extending my stay at reception, I had to check out then check back in which saved us the $6/night price difference. Breakfast was poor, just bread as they didn't have a toaster. Overall a clean and safe hostel with good bathroom facilities and close to Bugis MRT, cinema, mcdonalds etc.
Hi , The promotional rates are only applicable to new guests who have not stayed at Footprints Hostel for the past 3 months. Guests who are extending their stay are charged at the walk-in offer rates. An exception was made in your case when you checked out and checked in again with another online booking. Besides bread with different jams, we also offer cereals & milk with coffee and tea for breakfast. Toasters are also available for guests to toast their bread during breakfast hours.

The rooms are excellent and good value for money. They could use a safety deposit box in the room ... Or a locker. There is a safety box at reception though. We got a great deal for the boat journey to the gills from reception - half the price of the fast boat ticket online! The area around kutais a bit dirty if I'm honest, but the hotel is nice and the pool facilities are excellent. One thing is the location on hostel world makes it look MUCH closer to the beach than it is!

Staff were really friendly! Roof terrace has amazing views and it's right next to the Roma bus terminal. Girls only bathroom is a bonus. Down sides were the 4 bed girls dorm being too small for our luggage, carpet floors in rooms feel like they could use a hover. Overall a decent place to stay for a couple of nights in the city centre!

A nice hostel, pretty loud at night when the live band were on. The staff were great upon arrival, inviting you to events and helping you out. The pool area is nice, although the have a dog. He is really dosile so this shouldn't be a problem, but may be for some people. The kitchen was average but no lighters for the gas stoves?! Had to borrow one from a smoker. Overall it's ok for a short stay.

The staff here were great and it's 5 minutes from the beach and supermarkets. The garden area is cool and the kitchen is clean and well equipped! I would stay here again.

There is no bus that collects you from the greyhound stop! Despite saying this on the description on hostelworld! I mentioned this to the staff and she just shrugged. Ridiculous. The place is noisy and the bathroom stank of urine. Only stayed one night as I was sailing in the morning, it's an ok place to crash for one night.

Great pool area and lots going on here. The bar closes at 12 so you still get a decent sleep too. The bathrooms were good but the kitchen was terrible. Full of ants. So much so that I lived off toast here just to be quick in there. Bus connections are easy and the drivers and nice and helpful.

Nice pool and excellent kitchen facilities. They met me at the greyhound stop which was nice. The staff were helpful enough and the pool is nice so overall a good place to chill and see mission beach
Thanks for your feedback Fiona. Safe Travels.

No internet facilities. Air con didn't work and it was midsummer. Horrendously hot in our room. The location is right at the lagoon, the kitchen was pretty good and the guy on front desk is friendly though so it's an alright place overall.

Nice quiet hostel with mainly longstay people in it. Not much going on. It's run by backpackers but the owner lady is very nice so ask her if you need anything. Kitchen facilities could be improved.. Lots of the instructions on buttons had rubbed off so it took me a while to get my dinner going. When I checked in, the girl didn't even tell me where my room was.. Which wasn't vla very good start. Overall good value for money.

The staff are nice and friendly, security is good although there is nowhere to store your big bags. Not much going on here, it's a pretty quiet place to stay. Not a party hostel.

The staff are really helpful, eg when I mentioned I was doing nothing because I had no money left, the guy on reception suggested I join the free walk that evening. They sell discounted tickets to all the major attractions. It's a quiet hostel, good nights sleep and it's clean. Nice communal area with bean bags and computers.. Free wifi and breakfast too!

The guys who run this place are friendly and took us out for a night out. They showed us the local food streets nearby and the hostel is perfectly clean. It's really close to the bts station from the airport too!
