Overall the rooms and especially the bathrooms felt fresh and modern. Awesome garden on the backside. Atmosphere was kind of chilled and quiet, which we enjoyed. If you want to party there a lot of places to go to on lower main, when you get home to sleep it's nice to be able to actually sleep.

No locks on the dorm door and no where to lock up your stuff in the dorm either, didn't really bother me but it's a good thing to have. Sleeping in the dorm next to the bar was very noisy since there was live music until 4 am, good to know. Facilities was nothing special, but the ones I used worked properly at least. Good stuff was the nice view, nice bar and nice food in the bar.

Quite a special place with a nice vibe most of the time. Kind of intimate as the common areas are quite small but cosy. There aren't much to do in the immediate surroundings so you will need a car or a couple of trips with the taxi. Nice bathrooms and kitchen, although the later one get quite cramped, especially the fridge. Cool design in the bedrooms!

Awesome, roomy security boxes right by each bead, with an outlet in every "box". Cool decor and sturdy beds who each have their own bed light. Well equipped kitchen, can get a bit busy in the evening.

Felt like a really big hostel. Unfortunately kitchen and common room wasn't big enough though. Had no were to sit in the evening when we wanting to chill and it was raining outside. Otherwise, an okay place.

The dorms were divided in cabins, all with their own kitchen and bathroom. Really liked this, felt like a little village. Also close to nature, away from the hustle of central Queenstown but still just a short walk to town.

Liked that every dorm had a own kitchen and bathroom and no bunkbeds in our room at least, if you actually wanted to cook and eat in dorm the only place to sit was to go outside our to the main building though. Otherwise, nice stay overall, liked Te Anau.

Our private room was a bit special, like a inverted balcony where on of the walls were completely glass with a slide door. You had the option to pull a sturdy curtain to get some privacy and I didn't mind. Thought the toilets felt really fresh. Otherwise nothing special, a bit small kitchen and common room (in the same room).

Nice location, nice common room, a balcony. Fun fish paintings on the walls. Friendly staff. Overall a good stay, didnt really spent much time at the hostel except sleeping.

Really liked the whole interior of this hostel. Really sturdy and comfortable bunkbeds, fancy kitchen and dining table. Nice.

Friendliest staff I ever met, got "upgraded" to a big family room since it was free anyway, really nice view in the big garden. Awesome.

Nice laid back atmosphere, best WiFi we ever had on a hostel, liked the common room and kitchen that made you feel at home. Dorms was a little bit crowded and maybe not the best beds, but still a really good stay!

Really liked it! Both dorms and common rooms felt clean and spacious. Got some vouchers from the staff when we went to Te Puia the day after.

Hostel felt kind of crowded and a bit filthy. No Internet in the building unless you paid, and even when you did, the connection was unreliable. Did like the big security lockers in the room though, could fit our to big bags in one. But all and all, not for us.

It's very nice and open, clean, comfortable, and an outdoor terrace you can use as well. The location isn't the closest to the center, but it's a nice neighborhood and we felt it was kind of nice to get away from the crowds and the noise. The owner is really friendly and will help you with whatever kind of tips you need. There could be nice with locks to the bedroom or some kind of security box in the bedroom, but we left our belongings laying aorund in the room without feeling it was unsafe.

Got everything you can expect from a hostel, and really clean nice bedroom with a lot of space even in the 10 people bedroom we slept in. I don't have any complaints really. But I didn't really got that feeling of home, it felt maybe a little hollow and chilly, even though the personnel was nice!
