Travellers Inn

This is not a backpacker hostel! It mostly has people from surrounding nations staying here while they find houses/jobs in Singapore - some of which stay for months or more. The location is quite a walk from the Farrer Park and Little India station - so not the most convenient. The room and bedding was clean - but cramped and basic. The bathrooms were very average - and a shared bathroom between men and women. The only saving grace was having a locker in the room.

Dear, for the record, the guests you met during your 2 nights stay were here for training cum holiday and not here finding jobs/houses as mentioned by you. We are close to Lavender MRT and Farrer Park MRT and if you would have taken the routes as per our directional map, you will find that it is not that far. :)

My pick of London hostels! Quite enjoyed my stay here, of the hostels I've stayed in (Clink, Generator & the Phoenix) it stands out as the best. First up there are wooden bunks, which are more stable and mean if the person above/below rolls around during the night you won't feel it. There is also a great kitchen with a massive communal table, which is great for meeting travellers and also saving money by being able to cook your own food.

Jimmy's Hostel

Paros, Greece

Not exactly a hostel, but part of a number of apartments called Jimmy's in Paros. The reception is only open for a few hours and they request to keep your passport, but the safe they keep it in isn't locked. Also didn't offer payment by credit/debit cards. Room was basic but clean. The main part of Jimmy's is about a 10min walk from centre/port. You get what you pay for here!

Lovely hostel right in the heart of the old part of the city with good facilities such as the rooftop bar, kitchen and chill out areas and free internet. The rooms were well fitted out and bathroom was clean and there was a sturdy draw to lock your things in. Highly recommend using the draws to lock up belongings as petty crime seems quite high in the city. I stayed mid-week so the hostel wasn’t noisy, however I think lots of hen and stag parties tend to stay here on the weekend. Overall a good

This hostel is hit and miss. Great location close to Earls Court Underground, but not really a hostel. The single rooms are good for a peacefull nights sleep, but you won't meet any other travellers. I was there during the renovations and the work was going on next to my room, making the walls vibrate and a lot of noise between 7am and 9pm. I asked to be moved to another room because of this, but the staff were really unhelpful, said "they didn't like the noise much either".
