Peaches Hostel

Clean, friendly, and when you can manage to buy the tram tickets from the right kiosks, not even that difficult to get to. However, the whole place has one shower, and two toilets, one of which was out of action when we were there. Also, the window in our room didn't close, the door did not lock from inside, and the toilet door couldn't be locked for the missing key. The excellently helpful staff more than makes up for the shortcomings, if you can get there while it's not busy.

Thank you for your review. Please note the hostel has a total of three showers, however two are in private rooms. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in regards to the malfunctioning window and door. Be assured those were repaired as soon as they were brought to our attention.

A wonderful place with a friendly family as your host. Easy walking distance from the main attractions of the town, without having the noisiness of actually being in the tourist centre.

Generally good and comfortable, but smells of cigarette smoke basically everywhere (which, have to be fair, is normal for Romania). Single easy-to-find bus ride will get you to the town centre, but not easily walkable.

Please note that we stayed in the ensuite double room and not sure about what the dorm is like, But this hotel is amazing, especially for the price. It's nice, clean and very modern. The staff was friendly and excellent. We stayed at a supposedly 4-star hotel the night before, in the same city, and this place was WAY better than that one.

This hostel is almost perfect except for two minor points. 1. It's up many stairs. If you have weak knees, please beware. 2. The toilet/shower block is cramped and there are not enough of them. Other than that, it's nice and cosy place to stay.c

Comfortable, friendly, and surprisingly convenient. Only a very short bus ride away from the town, and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the bus. The host family is super friendly and nice.

Nice, clean and modern. The location could not be better, and is easily reached from a metro or railway station. There is a bar just out the window of the room we stayed in, which might have caused some noise problem, if I wasn't so tired.

I couldn't even imagine this place to be any better. It's superb in every way imaginable. The host prepares supper every night, and he's a wonderful cook. Definitely worth staying in for the meal.

There's only one problem with the place, which is the double bed in the private room is quite old and saggy. It was difficult for my partner (who has a chronic back problem) to sleep comfortably on the bed. On the other hand, the dorm bunks are fine. With all that out of the way, I must say that this place is a gem. The host family is super friendly and helpful. The dinner cooked and served at the hostel is worth every rand. It's in a safe and convenient location.

The hostel is understaffed compared to the number of guests that it could accommodate, resulting in long waits. The staff are curt and not overly helpful in general. The room we stayed in does not have an airconditioning or a fan, making it unbearable in the heat. The window opens directly in to the party district, which means an amazing amount of noise until 4~5am in weekends. (and the window has to be kept open because of the lack of airconditioning) This hostel is not recommended.

Firstly, the location is perfect - nice and quiet but very close to the centre. Also, the staff are very friendly and professional - which more than made up for some minor glitches (such as disappearing airconditioning remote control. The staff turned it on for us. First decent sleep I had in southern Spain!) There are big lockers for big backpacks, so the security is cool, nice and clean rooms with bathrooms, etc. I'd definitely recommend this place to the others.
