Hostal Cervelo

This is a ** Hostal- not a hostel. We had a comfortable room with attached bath, TV, and twin beds which was perfect for repacking our bags the night before flying home. Breakfast isn't included but they offered a reasonable continental through a nearby cafe. We opted to go out, so no comment on how it was. 5-10 minutes to Sol metro hub/Plaza Del Sol.

Marble tile floors in the sorry courtyard keep it cool. Short walk to Plaza Nueva, shuttle to Alhambra, bus to stations. We could see the Alhambra from the balcony in our room!

This is at a best western hotel a few blocks from the space needle (which we could see out the corner of our window), so don't be expecting a fun hostel atmosphere. Do be expecting a private room with microwave, fridge, and towels, a friendly staff, and full breakfast. Heads-up, though! the two beds in a 3-4 person room are fulls instead of queens, so expect to be cozy with your bunkmate!

A great location (though easy to walk past without seeing!) in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Seattle. 2 blocks to the Freemont Sunday Market, tons of restaurants and pubs around. Only disadvantage is that it's not close to downtown - but the busses do run regularly. Great character, comfy beds. We had a great chat with the owner over breakfast.
