great hostel, very clean and heaps of extra facilities you dont get at every hostel. computers on every level, movie room, large breakfast/common area, power outlets and lights for every bunk. the only let down is the checking in process, whether you´ve come in a big tour group (contiki/busabout) or even checking in normally the process is very tedious. staff however are very friendly and willing to help

Living Lounge Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal
100%

hands down one of the best hostels i´ve stayed in! the hospitality of all the stuff was unbelievable. firstly, its great to come into a hostel, check in and get the staff to inform you of weekly events and show you round the hostel (kitchen and breakfast hours, comp/tv room, and even to your actual dorm). Antonio´s meals each night were AMAZING!!! great value for money and a home cooked meal, and all you can drink wine! great hostel to meet people, or just to chill out on other levels.

Rising Cock Party Hostel

Lagos, Portugal

Loved our stay at the rising cock! Mamma and papa were very inviting, and of course mamma crepes lived up to there expectation! She even made gluten free crepes for one of the girls. We were travelling in a group of 5 and were lucky enough to be given an apartment (with AC!), otherwise the dorm rooms get stuffy and v.hot! The booze cruise was fun but a little overpriced.

Definitely a party hostel. Very clean with plenty of toilets and showers. Slightly annoying that the AC in controlled by reception. And for some reason the ensuite dorm I was in, the shower leaked into the room....

HelloBCN Hostel

Nice clean hostel. Everything seems to be slightly cramped, rooms were fairly small, kitchen was small (difficult when more than 2 people were cooking). Some staff were super nice and helpful....others not so much. Annoying that the AC was controlled by reception. Free breakfast was just toast and spreads

Loved that this hostel had built in power outlets on every bunk, was a little bit annoying during my stay however as there were a few power shortages.

Great hostel. All the staff are super nice and heapful. Extra facilities that you don't usually find at a hostel -gym and sauna and also extra showers and toilets downstairs. James who runs the free walking tour is awesome! Little bit expensive, especially over the weekend as the price goes up for some reason.

Amazing hostel! Staff are super nice and helpful. Great lock boxes that are able to fit your entire backpack. Bar has a good atmosphere, perhaps the music is too loud? Makes chatting and getting to know people a bit difficult. Wifi is a bit temperamental.

Amazing hostel! Great rooftop bar and amazing bar staff. Very clean hostel and a decent sized kitchen and outside eating area. The only let down (and what most would probably agree on) is that wifi is only in the reception or in the bar - and I mean IN the bar, doesn't work outside of the rooftop

Rooms were clean, great atmosphere, there were a few issues with the wifi when we were there but it got fixed as we were leaving. The showers and toilets downstairs near room 1 always seemed to smell funky, but were clean. Perhaps just the damp smell. Thanks to Caitlin for the awesome walking tour and beer tasting! ...the pub crawl was average though.

great clean and friendly hostel. great to see that fruit was provided at breakfast and a wide variety of spreads for toast, also there is free soup each night. very equipped kitchen, heaps of pots and pans. wifi strength wasn't that great in rooms and even in the common room. location was great and close to the bull ring, i didnt have an issues in the fact that it was in an industrial area.

Breakfast was pretty decent. Annoying that the wifi was only in the common/outdoor area. Also annoying they didn't have any laundry facilities. Great location though. Helpful and friendly staff. Very spacious rooms.

Dont expect too much, but if you consider that all.of NY is super expensive then it doesn't seem so bad. Location was good as it was very close to the #1. All the female staff were rude and didn't seem to care, the male staff were fine. Shared showers were pretty bad on level 3. No pressure. The free breakfast helped -better than nothing!

Would definitely recommend this place! I stayed at the India house for a couple days and this place is HEAPS better, on all levels! Staff are super cool and just want you to enjoy yourselves and will join you for a drink if it helps. Very clean. Kitchen is a bit small ans pokey. Don't let the location deter you, because magazine st is awesome to walk down too!

Great that there was a pool! Dont get that much in hostels. The rooms are alright, but get really hot and humid over night. Fans and a/c aren't that great. Showers aren't the cleanest. I would definitely recommend the shower upstairs in the main building. Some staff are super nice and helpful, and others don't want to know you.

The guy at reception was very rude. And I shared a room with 9 other girls so showering was an issues. I wasn't told if there was other shared bathrooms. I actually only ended up staying 1 night and going to a different hostel. Price wasn't even that reasonable considering.
