Wonderful style and atomsphere, and the garden lounge is nice in the evenings (too hot during the day). Common area is a bit cramped when a lot of people are around, but the staff make up for it; great breakfast, though the dragonfruit(?) is a bit ... odd ... perhas just not my thing. Highly recommend.
Located near a metro station but is kinda far out from everything. That being said, great rates though the stairs are steep. Would recommend.
Excellent hostel, though a bit hard to find, and a slight walk from basically all metro stations. Still, near markets, and lots of good food. Highly recommend
Honestly, this is one of the few hostels I'd unlikely stay at again. The lounge areas are small and cramped, and the rooms are extremely load and noisey, with no enforcement of quiet hours. Oddly, there are a lot of Panamians staying here while I was, with it being extremely noisey. The entire hostel feels dingy, and unwelcoming. On the plus sides, it was cheap enough, and very centrally located in the old city.
Great place to stay with Grandua with organized tours of the lake. A bit far from the bus station, but close to shopping areas, and within walking distince of most things in the city.
Good hostel, but a bit far from the city center; and located close to a set of train tracks which means you can hear the whistle during parts of the night (the last train seems to finish ~9-10PM, so its not TOO bad). Staff are biligical, and excellent all around. Lockers (at least in my dorm) were small, and I struggled to fit a normal sized laptop case in. On the plus side, great bar, nice pool, and great atomsphere. Would recommend for anyone who wants to stay at a high-end hostel.
5s across the board, best dorms I've ever stayed in with a private "shelf" area for each bunch. Hostel itself is awesomely located on the edge of the gaslamp district and the staff are helpful and friendly. Would absolutely stay again.
This hostel is more of a little hotel than a hostel; and the private rooms were quite nice, but the staff were relatively unhelpful, and the place is hard as hell to find, though its right off the Calle El Conde.
India house has a unique and amazing charm that makes it a gem in the world of hostels. With its uniquely painted murels, and a great outdoor area to socialize, its truly an amazing place with amazing people. The area though around the hostel isn't great, and the trollies don't run very frequently (15-20 minute wait is common) combined with it being relatively far for everything (the trolley is a block away, but its several stops until downtown). Overall, would recommend, and would stay again
I stayed three days with Harris, and his company is amazing, helping me meet locals, and going out to a bar that was converted from an old movie threathe. The only big issue is that hill is $#!@ steep, but as long as you're in decent shape (or don't mind waiting for the bus), it is worth it for the view from the deck. Highly recommended.
Extremely excellent hostel with awesome location and staff. Was central to the Acropolis and in walking distance of most of the sites. Sarah and the rest of the staff were very helpful, and the bar ontop of the hostel provided a wonderful view of the city at night. Wifi was fast though it was only available on the first floor and lobby. Would stay again without question.
Amazing hostel, wonderful staff, clean rooms, excellent bathrooms. Both the single I had for my first few nights, and the dorms afterword were excellent with their own unique character. Only issue was internet wifi was a bit spotty, but would stay again without reservation. Can't recommend more!!!!
Had a great time at Avalon House and will stay here again if I go to Dublin. Staff was great, and met up with tons of people staying at the hostel. Rooms were clean, but bathrooms were a bit dingy. Lockers available for rent, but no place to lock it safely in the rooms. Location was great right in the temple bar district and near St. Patrick's Catheridal..
