We stayed at Cordoba Bed and Be for one night. The four-bed bunk room was quite small for four adult travelers. The beds were comfortable and clean. The room did get a little chilly during the night. The shared bathrooms and kitchen were fairly clean and well-managed. The free breakfast provided by the hostel was minimal, but a good starter for the day. The staff member at Bed and Be was very helpful. He suggested many tips for sightseeing and eating local foods. He gave us great advice!
My wife and I only stayed at Grand Luxe Hostel for one night. However, the hostel was very accommodating to our needs. Firstly, we arrived very late at night at the train station. We could not check-in until after midnight. It was not a problem for the hostel. In addition, the staff member that night was also very helpful. He provided helpful tips for Sevilla, and answered all our questions. The four-bed bunk room was also quite pleasant and clean. The beds were soft and comfortable.
Green Suites Hotel was a reliable hotel in Saigon. We stayed there for three nights, and the staff was very friendly. The made-to-order breakfast on the terrace was a nice start to each day. The hotel is also close to the main backpacker streets in the city. It is quite easy to walk to many sites and restaurants from the hotel. The rooms are nothing special, but are more than enough for a few nights in a hotel. The ensuite bathroom was clean, and there was plenty of hot water for showers.
Villa Pink House was comfortable and clean. The hot water was not very reliable, and the breakfast was not too hearty. However, the house does have charm, and the rooms were very spacious. It does get quite cool in Da Lat, so the weather may influence your stay more than you expect, especially if it is rainy. All guests MUST take the hotel's "secret tour"! It was one of our best experiences in Southeast Asia. You will have a great guide, and great company. You will experience Vietnam!
Hoa My Hotel is simple and mostly fine for any short stay in Hoi An. However, there were small inconveniences. When we arrived, we discovered our room had been given to another guest. We were given a discount for the first night. The hot water is not reliable. It only lasted for a few minutes in our room. And upon checkout, I was informed the hotel could not accept credit cards. This is not a big deal, but it did cause another unplanned ATM trip. Regardless, small inconveniences add up!
Jade Hotel is probably the best hotel we have ever visited. The staff at this hotel are five-star quality! They always offered us drinks and cold towels upon returning from a day, or just an evening touring Hue. The breakfast is made-to-order. There are several options, ranging from eggs and toast to fried rice, or noodle soup. The hotel staff also helped us book a city tour of Hue, and our sleeper bus tickets for our trip to Hoi An. We highly recommend this hotel to all future travelers!
Hanoi Serendipity Hotel was a fabulous stop on our tour of Southeast Asia. The staff at this hotel are wonderful. They were very kind to us, and to all the travelers staying at the hotel. They prepared a made-to-order breakfast every morning for all the guests. Breakfast options were plentiful, ranging from bacon, eggs, and toast to banana pancakes, omelets, and assorted fruits. The staff also helped us book our boat tour of Halong Bay, and our sleeper train tickets for our trip to Hue.
The Mad Monkey in Phnom Penh was a refreshing stop on our tour of Southeast Asia. We stayed in a double bed private ensuite for two nights. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. It had a good air conditioner and a rotating fan. The Mad Monkey also has a great restaurant and a sunset bar on the rooftop. The food and drinks are reasonable. However, since Cambodians prefer US Dollars, it can be slightly pricier than local cuisine. The staff at the hostel was awesome!
Siem Reap Rooms was a very good guesthouse. The staff is the best characteristic of the guesthouse. They are willing to help all their guests have a great experience in Siem Reap! They helped us organize tours for the temples and book transportation to Phnom Penh. The breakfast at Siem Reap Rooms is also quite delicious and inexpensive. I recommend trying the fresh baguettes. They are very tasty, especially with bacon and eggs. The town is simple and easy to find relaxation at a bar.
Lub d Bangkok Siam Square was a fantastic experience! It is one of the best hostels I have visited. The hostel and our room was incredibly clean. The cleaning staff was also quite helpful with providing clean towels daily. The hostel staff was very friendly, and willing to help guests with daily activities. We chose the economy twin room. It was cozy and comfortable. The shared shower facilities are great...maybe the best we have seen! We will definitely recommend this hostel to friends!
Crystal Bay Resort was a pleasant stop on our trip in Thailand. We were only there for two days, but the resort made a lasting impression. The resort has an amazing beach that is adjacent to a calm and gorgeous bay. This is the best attribute of the resort. Crystal Bay is also quite small and cozy. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant also offers good food at a fairly reasonable price to guests. I would recommend Crystal Bay for future travelers.
Kamala Beach Resort is an excellent hotel and resort. The facilities at the resort include: multiple swimming pools, multiple bars, two resort restaurants, fitness center, convenience mart, on-site clinic, and numerous activities throughout the week. We extended our stay for an additional week. The resort also has a buffet breakfast that is worth the additional cost. The breakfast was included in our room rate. It is much cheaper to book the resort online. Hostel World has a great rate!
5 Footway Inn Project Boat Quay is a convenient, reliable hostel/hotel that is centrally located for most attractions in Singapore. The inn has a very helpful staff that is willing to assist all the guests with their holiday plans. However, there are some small annoyances with the inn. For example, the towel policy is silly and expensive ($2 for every clean towel). The free breakfast is very basic. And, male/female bathrooms are on separate floors. But, the quad bunk room was comfortable.
Chulia Heritage Hotel is a pleasant and reliable hotel for any weary traveler. The hotel was very accommodating, and upon my arrival, they allowed me to check-in three hours early. I reserved a basic double bedroom, which shared toilets and shower rooms with other guests. The cleanliness was fairly good, and the staff was excellent at keeping the hotel tidy. The only negative element worth noting, for single travelers, is the presence of families at the hotel. There were several children!
BackHome is a nice place to stay for backpackers. The private double bedrooms are secure and comfortable. The attached cafe has delicious food for a reasonable price. The hostel also has good common areas for meeting fellow travelers. BackHome's staff is quite excellent. Everyone was very helpful, and tried to make our stay enjoyable. In addition, the hostel also has a great location. It is within walking distance to numerous attractions, such as Little India, Central Market, and KLCC.
Incheon Airport Guest House was a decent place to stay for one night. It was very close to the airport, and the free airport shuttle was excellent. The private double bedroom was not as nice as the photos depicted on Hostel World. However, the room had everything we needed for one evening. Although the guest house is close to the airport, the area near the guest house does not have much more than residential buildings. It was difficult to find good food for a reasonable price.
Hello Guesthouse is a reliable place to stay. The guesthouse was clean. There was a nice, basic breakfast of eggs, bread, coffee, and tea included. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative upon arrival at the guesthouse. The only negatives about our stay was the lack of air conditioning in our room and the inconvenience of the male bathroom. There was an air conditioner, but there was a notice to guests that it was broken. Furthermore, the male bathroom is on a different floor.
Backpacker's Home was an enjoyable experience. The breakfast buffet (which included, toast, jam, eggs, fruit, juice, and milk) was absolutely fabulous. It was the best possible beginning to any day exploring the island. The rooms were also very clean. The bunk rooms and the bathrooms were cleaned daily. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, there had been a mistake with our reservation. The owner was very kind. He gave us a discount, and offered us free barbecue.
BoA Guesthouse was an excellent experience. The guesthouse is really like a hotel, but much more affordable. It also had an equipped kitchen, which included a fridge stocked with beer (for sale). There was also a hearty breakfast provided, which included eggs, toast, jam, and cereal. Maybe the best attribute of the guesthouse was the location. It is just around the corner from the Airport Railroad Train (two stops from Seoul Station)! It is perfect for travel to and from Seoul.
Hi Guesthouse is a great value for your money. We booked a large group for a weekend holiday, and everyone was quite satisfied with all the services provided by the guesthouse. The rooms have excellent security! Each room has its own lock, which is perfect if you're bunking with friends. There are also lockers outside each room. There was a free breakfast every morning, which included eggs, toast, and jam. And, the bathrooms were very clean! We will definitely recommend this hostel.
Wombats City Hostel had more amenities than most hostels offer. Free towels, free WIFI, and a free drink is all included in the room rate. There is also a good morning breakfast for only 3,7 Euro. The hostel is in a popular area of town, which is located near the main train station, and it is close to the airport Metro line. Wombats also has a cool winter garden in the middle of the hostel, which is a great lounge area! The only negative was the absence of air conditioning in the rooms.
Flag Constanta Central Hostel is a reasonable place to stay if you happen to be in Constanta. Dave (the owner) and his staff are great people that will really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hostel is relatively new, so there are some perks that come with that distinction. The beds are newly purchased, and are more than satisfactory. Dave also takes guests out every night for beers at a local bar close to the hostel. The only negative is: Dave needs more help!
Hostel Tyn was a fine place to rest our heads at night. The room we had was very clean, and there were nice luggage cabinets in the room. The location is the best thing about this hostel. It is in the center of district I, which is very close to the town square. The Internet is very spotty at the hostel, and you have to use it in the basement for good connection. The character of the hostel is also poor. It was basically just a safe place to sleep at night. It is very basic!
Babel Hostel was a fun, cozy place to stay while we visited Wroclaw for three days. We stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm. The staff was very friendly, and everything was really clean. There is also free tea and coffee for all guests. The common room is very large, and it has computers, an LCD TV, and games. The only negative was the two bathrooms for possibly 30 guests. Thankfully, people were considerate when we were there, but it could be fairly touch if the hostel was full.
Plus Prague offers more amenities than most hostels. There is a pool, a dry sauna, and a restaurant/pub. It is definitely a party hostel. There are lots of tour groups that visit Plus Prague everyday. However, guests can easily escape the party scene. The restaurant/pub is in a completely different building. We booked the 8 person mixed dorm, and we were satisfied. There are only four beds in each sleeping area. Also, the English breakfast is absolutely worth the 100 CZK!
The Hostel Blues offered everything we needed for our two nights in Bratislava. The kitchen was fantastic for all of our needs. There were even two sinks, two cooking ranges, and several refrigerators. Everything was also clearly marked and organized. The common rooms were also extremely nice. There was a quiet lounge, and there was the bar lounge, which has blues concerts on Wednesday nights! The Internet is a little slow, but it is free, so no complaints. Bathrooms could be cleaner.....
This hostel had excellent character and an abundance of amenities. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were very clean! The showers were very nice, and they had great water pressure. The security lockers in the room were also very cool. The key card access is very efficient. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was absolutely worth the 3,5 Euros. The bar also offers cheap beer every night at happy hour for only 2 Euros. Overall, you cannot go wrong with this hostel!
The hostel was very clean and secure. There was a bar and a guest kitchen, which was very nice. The room was cozy with good beds, and the bathroom was fairly clean. The lockers in the room are not very big, but they are perfect for a laptop and small valuables, such as cash and passports. The negatives for this place was the cost for Internet service, which was 2 Euro per day. There was also construction, so it was loud all day. There is a nice breakfast, but it also cost about 5 Euro.
