For people staying in Venice for more than one night, this is highly recommended. it is a little far (on Lido island) and about 12-15 mins walk from the Lido boat stop but is very inexpensive and includes breakfast. If you are going in summer, Lido has a beach too. there are reasonably priced cafes and restaurants on Lido (almost all restaurants in Venice have a cover/table charge per person and 10-12% service charges! but not on Lido).

Hostel ROOM Rotterdam

Rotterdam, Netherlands

I guess I shouldnt complain much having paid a reasonable €20/night (incl. breakfast) but i would rather pay little more for more cleanliness and a hostel with better beds. Some of the beds didnt have ladders to climb to the top bed (bunker beds) and not all beds had a reading lamp or socket. The showers didnt have water with enough pressure and some didnt have warm water. Parking was mentioned as 1 of the facilites on but the parking was a public parking about 15 mins walk away!

B&B James

Bergamo, Italy

We were 5 people and had a 5 person en suite apartment with kitchen. The owner was a very nice and friendly lady. This place is about 50 kms away from Milan and is quite peaceful. If you have a car, this is a nice place to stay. Not so far from Milan and Bergamo and excellent value for money. The owner lady also made us breakfast herself :)

Five Elements Hostel Frankfurt

Frankfurt, Germany

The hostel is very close from the central station (Hauptbahnhof) which makes it an attractive place to stay but on the other hand it is in the red light district. But I didn't feel any problem with security in the hostel or in the area. One problem is that there is noise from the street throughout the night and in Summer, one cannot close the windows. The staff was quite friendly and cleanliness was good enough.

PangeaPeople Hostel & Hotel

Berlin, Germany

The hostel is cheap so not much should be expected but there are things where they should definitely improve. The hostel is very big and has a lot of rooms but may be not enough staff for cleaning etc. The washrooms were quite dirty and sometimes clogged. The doors close loudly and arent sound proof so you can hear doors closing all the time and people talking in the corridors. On arrival, I had to wait more than 3 mins before the staff said anything; they were talking among themselves.

the hostel is at a good location. one may walk to it from the central station and the places to see are also mostly within walking distance. the common room and kitchen are nice and have a lot of dishes etc to be used. the rooms and washrooms were clean except for one time but this depends on the others staying in neighboring rooms. I was staying in a private room for 4 people and would have preferred a washroom and shower inside the room. There was however a wash basin in the room.

Hotel Limmathof

Zurich, Switzerland

Location is excellent; walking distance from central station but this also makes it noisy. The hotel seems to be a little old. The sockets are at very inaccessible locations (under bed side tables). Also, the flooring is wooden and there is no mat outside the washroom. When u walk out of the washroom with wet shoes, the room will become dirty. More expensive but so is whole Switzerland. Overall its ok and i might stay again. Breakfast costs extra 10 francs.

AWA Innsbruck Hotel Tautermann

Innsbruck, Austria

For someone visiting Innsbruck for just one or two days, they should prefer to stay at a more central location. Although Hotel Tautermann is also easily reachable by bus. Young people may also walk to it but its a steep walk of 15 min! The hotel itself is old but clean. The views from the windows are great. Breakfast was also good.

Hotel Arian

Vienna, Austria

I was staying in a 4 person private room. Both the room and the hotel itself were very clean. We were given coffee/tea on arrival. The breakfast was nice. The location is excellent as its only 2 stations away from Wien Westbahnhof station and also has a direct connection to Stefansplatz. The Museums Quartier is about 15 mins walk from the hotel. For young travellers, they can see most places in the city center on foot from the hotel.

Hostel Orange

Prague, Czech Republic

I was only there for one night in a mixed dorm. But there was every kind of facility you would need. The bed had a blanket, a small towel, a reading lamp and a socket. There was WiFi and a place to keep your luggage. For the amount paid, it was quite good. The location is very nice. Its walking distance from the Old Town Square.
