seemed to be a lot of people actually living there, some with no consideration for other guests and playing music all morning and night outside our door, despite signs saying no noise during rest hours, we got no sleep due to one particular guest playing a flute, then a ukelele and then singing, all the time. internet is very poor and only works in certain places downstairs and not in rooms, well equipped kitchen
good location, nice clean rooms and fresh towels, decent breakfast by peruvian standards, more of a small hotel than a hostel, very good strong and hot shower
we stayed in the suite and were very happy with the room, lovely comfortable bed and good shower. hostel is centrally located and close to restaurants, free walking tour, laundry, etc. breakfast was included and was basic however the kitchen was well equipped. good wifi working in the rooms and nice tv room etc
good location, but very thin walls, we could hear every movement of the couple next door. good wifi, decent showers
We stayed in a private ensuite room (which was an apartment about 200m from the hostel), own kitchen and tv, which we were very happy with. Staff was very friendly and very helpful, however with very little english, we did manage to communicate with them. breakfast, which was provided in the hostel building, was very poor - a cold hard boiled egg and some form of bread with jam. Try Captial Cocina cafe nearby for a good value dinner - so nice we went back a second night!
nice clean room, more like small hotel room (tv and private bathroom). large supermarket nearby (although the lines are crazy long!) good central location for all attractions, tours available from hotel bit of a mix up on pricing, was quoted a price on arrival and a higher one on departure, (due to change in hostels internal exchange rate during our stay as prices on hostelword on in dollars but they convert to Reai's) was resolved, but make sure you get price in writing
Nice room with air con, breakfast was good, best so far in south america. Kitchen for guests was only average, very little local information provided. Older gentleman around the property ( we assumed the owner) was very intimidating and creepy
Pros: Location - 2 min walk fom bus Cons: Damp!sheets were soaking from the dampness, had to use our sleeping bags. Mildew on our belongings after a couple of days. some of our clothes got wet at the falls and still weren't dry four days later. Damp also left a horrible smell in room.Shower was had almost no water pressure.Breakfast was bread, cake and juice, but it was limited to one helping of each per person.Wifi was very poor, slow, constantly dropping connection. Not worth the money!
Fantastic hostel, best so far on our south american hostel! Owners are really nice, helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome - my boyfriend (who's a big soccer fan) even got to tag along to the owner and his friends 5 a side soccer game! Room was lovely and spacious with hot shower and wifi available throughout the property. Large supermarket only a block and a half away, great local restaurants nearby. Would thoroughly recommend this hostel to anybody heading to Asuncion!!
Double room very spacious, request the 5th floor is possible as a lot if noise travels up through the open area between floors. Lots of tours available through the hostel and things to do every day. Perfect location for stay in bueno aires and staff were very helpful! Breakfast was only alright though. No alcohol is allowed to be brought in from outside as hostel have their own bar, beers were relatively cheap at 35pesos for two pints. Look for UGIs pizza for cheap eats, only two blocks away!
Some long guests who had a bit of a clique can make atmosphere a little hard when on a short stay, no tours run through the hostel either. Very safe location and easy to access old town by bus.double room was right beside receiption with very loud music til 1am. Met owner who was very nice and friendly
Can be very loud if you get room over looking cout yard. Breakfast was good and location was very central
