I have stayed in over 100 hostels worldwide and this is by far one of the worst. About 90% of the staff is made by volunteers with no other interest than their own lives in Istanbul while staying for free in exchange of minimal work. I had basic questions such as “what’s a great coffee shop with WiFi”, “is there a map you can provide”. All were answered with “I don’t know”. WiFi is poor, common rooms tiny and they lost some of my clothes doing my laundry and I had to insist to get a refund.

Overall great experience and I would stay again. I like the balance of atmospheres, where you have enough space to have a chill experience and be on your own despite the hustle and bustle of a popular hostel, but also can participate in their daily activities and engage with both the staff living there and other travelers. The only thing to note is the reduced amount of toilets and showers for the amount of people staying in dorms. Better to calculate extra time to wait for your turn.
Hi, thanks for taking the time leave us a review. We are so glad you enjoyed our events. As for our bathrooms, the process is underway already to get them all refurbished. They are going to look amazing!

Mahsa and Maryam were incredibly lovely, sweet and super well spoken sisters. I felt right at home and like I was hanging out with best friends the second I met them. They were kind and friendly enough to set a whole day to spend with me, hanging out in Isfahan and showing me all the cool spots to eat at and discover another side of the city. Super open minded ladies and their parents were the sweetest and most lovable couple. Thank you so much for your company and help in my Iran journey!!!

Ali and his team gave me a very warm welcome at their beautifully decorated, humble, but intimate and traditional house. I really liked the location because it’s away from noise and traffic, you really feel like you’re part of the local life of Kashan. Ali offered to help me countless time in my short stay in Kashan and for my next destinations in Iran. I would love to come back in high season and enjoy this beautiful, enjoyable little hostel. Keep up the good work! Moteshakeram!!

I really really enjoyed my stay at Heritage Hostel. Rarely it happens that a hostel takes equal care in their facilities, staff, cleanliness, location and overall create a really nice atmosphere for their guests to hang out. I spent 4 nights there and really can’t find anything to complain about! Kudos to this hostel :) Mamnoon!!

I absolutely loved my time at Hostel Home. I think the highlights of this hostel are the peaceful atmosphere, the amazing location and the staff friendliness. I would definitely stay there again!!

Good little hostel. Great for solo travelers and couples. They offer lots of tours around Titicaca Islands and have a traditional dance show every other night. Great breakfast too. Overall nothing to complain about.

Definitely one of the best hostels where I've stayed in South America and in this 1 year RTW trip. Everything works smoothly and the atmosphere is perfect to chill before or after Uyuni. Definitely not a party vibe though if you're looking for some crazy night stuff. Ideal location, just a couple blocks away from all the noise, tourist and school kids that crowd up Sucre.

As other reviews have said, this hostel is new so things are still pretty basic in terms of organization of activities and information. Comfortable beds, nice staff, very very quiet atmosphere, kinda far from city center but not too badly connected. Price is fair for what you get since it includes breakfast. Could stay there again.

Ok hostel, ok location, lots of accommodation. It's a fair deal, but what they should definitely improve on is putting way more bathrooms everywhere. This hostel is huge, it can host probably about 50 people per night or more, but there's only 3 bathrooms max.. Staff is nice and helpful, lots of tours you can book from them. Not sure if I would stay again if I was looking to take a shower besides brushing my teeth.

Extremely well located hostel, very artsy and cosy. Good beds, no breakfast though. Very quiet atmosphere, so if you're looking for a party hostel this is not your best bet. A little expensive for what it is overall. but a good option overall.

Great little artsy hostel a little outside the beaten touristy path so nice to get to know a little more local surroundings. Super large comfy beds in the big dorm, plugs near bed (which has been very rare in my South America travels). Cute guys at reception. No breakfast, but considering the quality and quantity you get if you pay 2000 pesos, not bad at all! Shitty wifi, but that seems a given all over SA. Would definitely stay here again.
our housekeeper concerned to give the best welcome in their rooms, they are quite comfortable, here you can meet all kinds of people, it is a hostel, very good energy, we regret that you have touched more serious people in the room. The important thing is that you had a good time in and out of the hostel!

A little bit divided about this place. Excellent breakfast, very comfortable and everything works. Some staff are wonderful and very helpful and others at reception seemed a little bit sleepy/chill and not quite resonating with what's going on. I arrived there very late at night because of my bus schedule and told them about directions on hostel world from the bus station not being clear at all and they basically answered with a smile. Oh well, still a good hostel.

Extremely comfy hostel with 3 kitchens! They give you a towel and locker key at check in and make your bed every day so definitely worth the price. Location is pretty darn far from city center, but excellent short distance to the airport. Super duper helpful staff and overall nice chill atmosphere. Slow internet though, but hey, you're at the end of the world after all. Only thing: it's too hot inside! There's massive global warming out there, can't we enjoy the cold when we get to have it?
Merci de nous laisser tes impressions apres ton passage! On note pour le chauffage. On espere de te revoir vite a Ushuaia... En hiver pour profiter du froid que tu as l'air d'apprécier. A bientôt

The reason to stay at this hostel again would most definitely to get through my travels with a very tight budget, and even then it probably wouldn't be worth it. There's a very weird combination of staff where some are really lovely and helpful and others like Natalie are pretty arrogant or others don't really care about the issues going on with your stay such as: AC that breaks in the middle of the night in your room and not even providing a fan when it's the middle of the summer. Enough said.

Indeed, a very very chill hostel. Easy stay, nice pool and bar area. A little bit of a party hostel, but the rooms are fairly well separated from the party area so you can enjoy a good sleep too.

This is an excellent choice if you're looking to the closest hotel to the bus station and if you're not looking to meet other backpackers. Definitely one of those "hotel" feel like places. When you check in they don't really do anything besides taking your money and handing you the keys to the room. It would be nice if they showed you around the common spaces and gave you a few tips.

Very nice almost fancy hostel. Everything works, but the vibe is very "keep it to yourself" so not the best options for backpackers traveling alone wishing to meet new people. Seems to be more for freelancers and casual business visitors who don't want to be in a hotel. Besides that, excellent breakfast, very safe location and reliable Wifi.

Definitely a great choice in Salvador. The only thing I would advert a little more on their page is that it is a party hostel, so not always easy to get some chill/no party music time since it goes on in the common space from breakfast to night time. Otherwise fantastic stay! Thank you

This is one of the few hostels I've been to where, as soon as you get in, you have a sense that they have things figured out and know what running a hostel is about. Staff, location and cleanliness (which are the most important attributes in my opinion) are excellent. Keep up the good work!

Everything as a hostel should have and be. Nothing over or under the top, which makes the overall experience good.

One of these hostels where everything is straight forward and how it should be. Efficiency, cleanliness, tasty breakfast, well located and accommodating staff are the highlights of this hostel. Will most surely stay here next time in Cape Town.

Nice little hostel in the accommodation area outside of Kruger. Close to stores and restaurants, they also organize tours for you to go to Kruger in case you wouldn't have a car. I understand internet is expensive in this country, but they should still clarify internet is 50R per day on their profile...

The thing that surprised me the most was the extremely poor location. Completely out there in the middle of nowhere, I guess it's a good place if you're going to the airport the next day. They should be much more clear on their website that this is not for you if you don't want to spend crazy money on cabs or don't have a car. Internet was down for all the time I was there, they could have offered a discount for the night or so.

It is hard to review this place as a hostel since it is a place to volunteer and give some of your time in exchange of an awesome experience where you feel purposeful and learn a lot. This project and the team running it make this place strong and committed in its endeavors. I wish them the most awesome progress with their cause.

Very small rooms, but cozy beds. The highlight of this hostel is the daily board of activities they organize so there's always something to do. The lowlight is how dirty it is under the beds and behind the lockers and who knows where else.. I think it's a little overpriced for what you get in the end, but you're probably mostly paying for the excellent location.

This place felt in a way more like a community than a hostel (in the good way) where locals, friends, family members and tourists mix together in a common, hippy-like circle. It was a very chill place, great for people who love to be surrounded by dogs, cats and children and with very spacious beds and rooms. The highlights: extremely well located and great staff. Will stay again.

Tracy was a wonderful host, very caring and very helpful. She helped me organize my day and recommended me some of the best food I've had in a long time. The room is stayed in was good and had its own shower. Thank you!!!

Nice stay, very helpful staff and admirable work put into the design and decoration of the lower floor. They also have an interesting selection of beer and a lovely dog if you want to chill out in the living room. The only thing I would suggest is maybe to put bed curtains in the dorms for better privacy and extend the A/C hours to 8pm-9am to make the extreme heat a little more livable. Will stay again though. Thanks!

Don't even now how to condense in 500 words how amazing is this hostel. It's this kind of places where you start thinking if they should start a star rating system for hostels too because this one would get 5 well deserved stars. Everything works there. Impeccable wonderful perfect experience. My new number one hostel!

This is certainly one of the most beautiful looking hostels I've been at. Staff is friendly and helpful and the cafe offers quite a bit of variety for all palates at ok prices. One observation would be just to do a little more homework on giving clear directions on how to get to their hostel since I arrived at the north train station which had no explanations for.

It's this kind of hostels that put 90% of their investment in the living room/reception/cafe for a wow feeling when you get in and then you realize the rooms don't match that feeling. I was there 6 days and they never came in once to clean the floor which build up more hair, dust and trash from people who checked out. If you're looking for a cozy place to read/enjoy a meal a coffee and don't care so much about private/comfortable time in your room then this is perfect.

Everything was perfect. However, I would only add that the people working at the bar/restaurant could be a little more flexible on people bringing their own food/drinks at the hostel since there's no access or facilities for cooking your own food.

Doona and her family where such nice and attentive hosts. I was the only foreigner, but had a wonderful time eating snacks and drinking with them and some visitors. They also organize scuba diving which was a great experience and you can check the sites around the hostel by foot. It is in a beautiful location.

The owner insisted on charging me for 3 nights instead of 2 because he forgot/misunderstood I had asked him 4 days in advance to change my reservation from 4 to 2 nights. He behaved extremely rudely saying constantly "oh my god" not understanding why I didn't want to pay more than I should while showing him his own email confirming my stay of 2 nights. Very weird and greedy man.. He should improve his English and/or behavior to avoid problems of this nature in the future.

Very nice plus that they have an onsen within the hostel which can save you money on paying for other onsens in the city. Pretty good location and very nice staff. If you end up on the last floor like I did and have a heavy bag you will need help since they have no elevators, but the view is amazing from the last room.
Thank you for staying with us in Beppu. Hope you had a good time and relaxed your body with Onsen. We are looking forward to seeing you again and next time if you have a big luggage again, please let us know before and maybe we can do something! :) Good luck Best regards, Spa Hostel Khaosan Beppu Aya

Ok dudes, great job running this hostel! I've been backpacking and traveling for over 7 years now and I can easily say this is one of the best hostels I've been at and thus far certainly the best in Japan. Keep it real!

Horrible and probably worst experience. No one was at the reception when I arrived or no one would answer the phone so I basically wasn't able to stay.
