Loved it every bit as much as the last time I stayed. Thanks for another great experience!
Small rooms, but that's to be expected in Paris. Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean ensuites. I would definitely stay here again.
My only complaint about this place is that they cram a lot of beds into a small space, leaving little room for walking or luggage. But otherwise, it's a great value for the money. The location is brilliant, right in the middle of the Bukit Bintang region, with lots of restaurants and pubs. It's within walking distance to the major attractions in KL (if you like walking), but there are also metro stops nearby. The staff is lovely and helpful. The breakfast is also nice.
Good location on the edge of Chinatown, across the street from Singapore's super efficient metro system. Pretty standard room layouts, wifi and breakfast were both good (though not great). Staff is wonderful.
Though the heritage building is nice, it's also a bit of a nightmare: No power points in most of the rooms, poor insulation against what felt like millions of rowdy backpackers partying into the wee hours... Staff was not overly helpful, the food was definitely not priced for the clientele (people on a budget, I assume, who need to share rooms?), deposits required for everything from towels to keys to surfboards ($100!)...
This was one of the nicest hostels in which I've stayed. I booked a female four-bed dorm and ended up sharing with only one other lovely lady. The room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom and a crazy view of the harbour. The YHA location is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I've stayed here twice and love it both times. The staff is always amazing and the place is cozy--a great value for the price. It's also walking distance to downtown New Plymouth and the beach.
The staff at Lisbon Lounge are amazing. They're super friendly and accommodating. The location is brilliant--easy walking distance to the Castelo de São Jorge, the waterfront, and many beautiful squares. Public transport is also incredible, so it's easy to get from the Rossio area to Belem, Estrela, to check out the city's great museums, as well as to the airport and bus station. The hostel itself is clean, comfortable, and provides home-cooked pancakes for breakfast.
Owned by the same folks as Lisbon Lounge, Living Lounge is equally as impressive. The building has old world charm with modern amenities, including free WiFi. The kitchen and bathrooms are high-end and spotless. The rooms themselves each have a theme and are decorated accordingly, with lots of character and zero kitsch. Security is great, location is even better, and the staff is wonderful. Dinner and the Sintra tour are definitely worth the money!
Oops's location is amazing--right on Avenue des Gobelins in the 13th. But calling it a "boutique hostel" is definitely a stretch. In most aspects, it's average. Bang for your buck is actually on the low side, considering that the rooms are much the same as your typical YHA, and the en suite bathroom wasn't even furnished with a basic hand soap dispenser. You also have to pay cash and leave deposits for towels and keys.
It's the only game in town, really, but it could use some sprucing up. Also, 6 pounds for like an hour of internet is preposterous.
Great location, friendly staff, even good food in the cafe.
