The Loft is a fun and lively addition to the hostel offerings in Paris, with very helpful reception staff and an easy to reach location. The only extra bit of information I wish I'd had before I got there is that the walk from Metro Belleville is all uphill - not fun with a heavy bag - but if you stay on to the next Metro station Pyrenee the walk is shorter and downhill.
Nice hostel across road from park and water on edge of University area. Easiest way to access the hostel is by following the website instructions on how to do the short walk from main train station.
Before booking had read reviews about location and check in times so was ready for difficult times - which happily did not occur. I chose to walk to the hostel from Vaduz which took me about 30mins - as it was a lovely day it was more of a stroll checking out the scenery as I went. I took advantage of the lockers in the basement to store my bags - you'll need a 2CHF coin - and then headed back into town until reception opened at 5pm.
Nice clean accommodation that is really an apartment with all the rooms let out. Only basic cooking is allowed unless previously OKd by owners. Very easy to access by tram from bridge over trainlines at main train station.
Lovely hostel in fabulous location with very helpful staff and good self catering facilities. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lotte and in Heidelberg.
Good location with helpful staff and a small bar/lounge to chill out in. A good basic hostel to stay at but not up to the standard of other hostels in this chain. Compared to the other Meininger hostels I've stayed in this is a tired old property which was obviously just painted in Meininger colours when they took over and nothing else done to upgrade the building.
Easy to find, good hostel within easy walking distance of everything in Utrecht. Reception staff were always helpful when asked for information, although only one really knew anything about what was going on in town event wise. The place is a bit rough round the edges and could definately do with a bit more effort being put into the cleaning in general - I didn't to use the chairs in my dorm as to be honest I couldn't be bothered cleaning off the thick layer of dust on them.
Ssshhhh... don't tell anyone but this is seriously the best hostel I've ever stayed in and much better than some hotels I've stayed at too. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to answer all your questions, suggest places to eat or let you know about local events to attend. Plus the beds are divine to sleep in and the bathrooms are genuinely Boutique standard. Definitely treat yourself to a stay here!!
Good value for money hostel, has decen size kitchen with ample storage space for both dry and fridge foods, good varied communal spaces and basic but plentiful buffet breakfast on offer. Easily reached from main train station following directions given and an easy 10-15min walk into the centre of Liege and main shopping/tourist areas. This is definately one hostel that sticks to its word so if you put anything in the kitchen make sure you label it with correct dates or it will be thrown out.
Great base from which to explore Luxembourg City and surrounding areas. Has a great garden out back to relax in over dinner or to enjoy a beer (or your drink of choice) after a long day walking up and down all the steep laneways to and from the hostel.
As with all Meininger hostels this one is modern, clean and easy to locate. The only thing I can complain about was the laundry facilities - only 1 washer and dryer - squeezed into a corner of the kitchen, looked as though the area needed a good clean and neither machine were ever available.
Had a great time both in Bruges and at Hotel Lybeer. Enjoyed chatting with Sie even though he was knackered from back to back shifts. Nice and comfy mattresses meant I got a good sleep despite how humid it was the first night of my stay and renovated bathrooms lovely - expecially liked the top floor shower with a view. Will definitely be back to stay once renovations are complete!!
Good hostel, not far from train station on a quiet side road, easy walking distance to both Garmish & Partenkirchen town centres. Great place to stay if you are after a base to access Zugspitze and other slopes for summer hiking or winter skiing.
Good basic hostel, easy to find, walking distance to everything in town and even the castle in the next town.
Located in a nice area easy to get to by metro. Good breakfast, clean rooms, nice staff. If you are after a break from the hostel circuit the perfect place to stay but don't expect much interaction with other guests.
Best hostel I've stayed in! Loved the chilled laid back friendly atmosphere, it felt like home away from home. Alex, Tomas and the other staff were all really helpful and full of local knowledge with great suggestions on what to see and do or just as happy to chat to pass the time. Have been recommending Mundo to everyone I meet who is heading to Krakow - I just hope they have availability next time I'm in town as I will definitely be back for another visit.
Very helpful, friendly staff but dorms a bit small if everyone has more bags than will fit in the lockers provided.
Large basic hostel, central location OK but not much atmosphere.
Good location right by the main station if you don't want to venture too far out but right on the edge of a slightly seedy area. Dorm rooms have their own separate shower and toilets but these are so narrow that you'll have trouble turning around and as they are all prefab units I wouldn't be surprised if they were ordered from the same company that supplies those Japanese pod hotels...
Thought this branch of the Generator hostel chain was better than others I've experienced. Good location, just a short walk to Nyhavn and also to the centre of Copenhagen for accessing any and everything else of interest. Hostel is big enough that you can party with the crowd or just chill out if that's more your thing. Although on the downside it charges for breakfast and doesn't have kitchen facilities.
Nice location within easy walking distance of the centre of town. Has great kitchen facilities if self catering is important. Although strange setup with having to clean room yourself on departure.
This hostel is in a great location not far from Gamla Stan and easy access to the centre of town and all the museums and places to check out. But be warned it is in the basement of a residential building and whilst very well run if you get the room right by the kitchen you will need to have earplugs with you.
Fabulous location, good breakfasts, clean, nice guest kitchen and lovely grounds with amazing views over Bergen. Reception staff were very helpful!
Lovely place to stay, great staff and a well kitted out welcoming common room & kitchen which made meeting other guests staying there was easy.
Enjoyed my stay. Huge pity that the showers and toilets are shoehorned in. Surely such a large building could accommodate more.
