Pros: nicest owner possible, really close to bus terminal and beach and big supermarket. Attracts nice backpackers. Clean. Reasonable beds. Cons: not the newest infrastructure, kitchen could use a couple of new pans. All in all recommended.
Large chilled house 1 block from the coast. Wonderful staff, guests come mostly off the airplane and are always in for a party. The hostel itself is quiet. Kitchen well equipped and you can use it even during breakfast which is included but is basically bread and jam. Check out their club house too (search on hostelworld), its a brand new hostel, same location, beautiful interior and would accually have a 200% rating
Sorry for the bad review but beware of multi day stays! Their reservation system is absolutely incapable. Booked 5 nights, but upon arrival got told that I 'll have to change dorm twice. On day 3 they said they have my reservation for only 3 nights but I can stay 1 more. On day 4 they said I dont have to change room, so the group of 6 who had booked the room got told they will be in separate rooms. And on day 5 I had to leave the hostel because it was fully booked without me. same for another gu
Unfriendly when coming back from the club at 4am - nobody opens the door. Else everything ok, very friendly staff during daytime
Convenient location if arriving late in Quito. I had a cheap room in the secondary house, which was sinply a bed put into a former kitchen. All sorts of bugs visited me during the night.
Even tough its a pretty run down place, the atmosphere is good, staff is veeery relaxed, the hostel is quiet and you can watch movies ... needs some serious repair though, and one bathroom smells rotten.
Beautiful location, good standard double room at good price, nice staff.
Excellent hostel in terms of atmosphere, staff, installations and value for money! You can truly have a good time there! And just two blocks away from the supermarket. Great beds, lots of blankets, good matraces. Only slight downside, 20mins walk away from the old town.
There is nothing bad to say. You get a single private room for the price of a dorm bed, and with some luck it has a balcony and a small TV. They have a huge DVD collection and will put a dvd player into your room free of charge. The kitchen is on the rooftop and from its terrace you have a stunning view of Otavalo and its volcanoes. Kitchen facilities are good, two stoves and lots of utensils. The staff is amazing, nothing is a problem, we were able to invite friends over for dinner. Good wifi
Negatives first - very far away from town! You have to catch a taxi every time you go downtown. But the location is great, overlooking Otavalo, really quiet, and at the time of my stay usually in a mystic thick cloud in the afternoon. They serve good food in the restaura t.
Perfect location right on the town square. Facilities good, except for that the dorm gets daylight at 6am, so sleep ins are difficult.
Good hostel, 10 min walk from supermarket and metro station. It has quite a large kitchen, but is as well quite big, meaning that many ppl are using the kitchen. Beds and dorms ok. Large TV area with movies, exellent!
Just perfect. Recently openened, all brand new, run by three enthusiastic young Italians. The best kitchen I have ever seen in a hostel. Very spaceous. Nice interior design .... just perfect.
Typical backpackers with pros and cons. Excellent location, very nice and helpful staff. The facilities could use some renovation, and they are doing things. Over all not the best ever, but certainly recommendable.
Generally good hostel, although not too clean rooms and bathrooms, as in other hostels too. Quite nice people, excellent staff. Breakfast averag.
Pros: Excellent atmosphere Nice employees Nice travelers through all ages Colourful building Good common areas with swimming pool and bar, roof terrace. Cons: more than 20 US$ per night for: no fan working, no aircon Shower is flooding the toilet and vice versa Kitchen is very poorly equipped Breakfast average (probably “good” for Argentina, but if you are used to a real good breakfast …) Dinner (included in price) can be in quite small quantities, that’s no good after a hard day of
Pro: Very quiet Spacious Nice patios with plants and hammocks Free breakfast Nice rooms with TV Cons: Too quiet, travellers above 30y of age so no party at all. Rather insecure location in a deserted place in La Candelaria, so rather doggy to get out at night Pricy
