Guven Cave Hostel

Goreme, Turkey

The staff were kind and helpful, they helped us plan a hike that we would enjoy and made us feel welcome. The khavalta was delicious and fresh and the view in the breakfast room is breath taking. The rooms were well decorated, warm, and relaxing. My only complaint is that the shower was lackluster after a 9 hour hike, but but was clean and warm.

Hostel HARUYA Kyoto

Kyoto, Japan

We loved our stay at Haruya. Yukisan was a wonderful host and it felt more like a home stay than a hostel. The rooms are very traditional with paper sliding walls, bamboo floors, and futon beds. It is very romantic. However, we shared a floor with 3 other rooms and were able to see their lights and hear their conversations all night. The bathroom facilities are outside and it was a little challenging to get ready in the morning, but they were beautiful and well maintained, not rustic.

Hostel 64 Osaka

Osaka, Japan

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostel 64. The room was cute, comfortable, and larger than we expected. The bed was very comfortable. The common areas were fun, well designed, and made us want to linger, but we had so much too see. I loved the massage chair and the continental breakfast with homemade bread. There are simpler hostels in Osaka, but this one was worth the yen. Nami was so helpful in helping us find fun excursions and great udon shops. She is one in a million!
