The staff is very sweet and helpful. Located in the center within walking distance from the ruins. We originally booked a private room but it had little ventilation and smelled badly of mold. They said it was due to the rain but it rained everyday. We switched to the dorm which was much better (no mold).

Cute place. Right at the entrance of the ruin site. FILLED with mosquitos so bring lots of repellant. Modest accommodations.

Marina is the sweetest and absolutely made my stay with her special and memorable. She helped me plan my days, made me big breakfasts, allowed me to shower after checking out, and much more. It's not the cheapest place to stay but not much is in Boca Chica.

Pancakes, bananas and coffee for breakfast. Air con from 6pm to 10am. Nice staff. Close to bus stop. Nice pool. Big kitchen. Comfy bedo All in all, no complaints.

Perfect location. The bathrooms got dirty easily. Small dorm rooms. Small, lacking breakfast. Nice, helpful staff. Best thing is that they turn the air con on whenever you're in the room. That's what made this place worth it to me.

The main house was always too packed for me but that could be good if you're looking to meet people. Comfy beds. Good cleanliness. Super nice and helpful staff. No complaints.

The hostal is pretty basic but what makes it the best in Colombia is Meri, the sweetest, funniest, may helpful woman who works the day shift. You might not get her if you don't speak Spanish but in that case you're missing out. The dorm we stayed in was okay but not nice. Bathrooms don't give you much privacy. Breakfast is pretty much bread and cereal. Great location. Get ready for the Bogotá cold!

I don't know why this hostal is popular. It can get very loud downstairs at night. There's not really a common area to hang out. The location is good. They have activities. Breakfast is lacking.

Guys, seriously, this place has the nicest staff in all of SE Asia!! I even had a miscommunication with one receptionist about taxi pick up time which lead to a bit of a confrontation and when I got back here from Sapa they apologized and bought me and my friend dinner! Great breakfast buffet. Gorgeous rooms and dorm. Perfect location. Safe luggage storage. Free coffee, tea and fruit all day. I'm in love. Stay here!! Zoom is the sweetest!!

I have very mixed feelings about this place. The room was never properly cleaned. Lots of trash and dirty floor. Half the staff was sweet, the others sour. Nice included breakfast buffet if you go early. By 9:30 things run out and staff gets pissy if you ask for restocking. Location great.

Dorm was spacious enough. Cramped living room area and no real area to hang out. Good included breakfast: omelette w bread and banana. Location good. Be very careful canyoning!!!

This place is a pretty good deal for the price you pay. It's basically a small resort but as people mentioned before, it's the small things. No trash bin in the room, only in bathroom. No mat or towel on the ground for when you come out of the shower so bathroom and room floor are wet a lot of the time. Other than that, the place is pretty sweet!

Couldn't have asked for more. Large dorms with personal light and outlet. Free Vietnamese food on the roof on Saturday nights. Restaurant food on the pricier side but yummy. Nice staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kayun. The room was refrigerated and actually a little too cold but they turned it off when we asked. Short walk from the beach. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast included. Nice pool. My only complaint is that they're was no kitchen for us to use.

The most important thing about this place is that Neil is an excellent host and goes above and beyond to assist. It can be a tad expensive as you are on a separate land mass from Flores. Their restaurant was a bit over priced for my tastes but the lodge is beautiful and you feel like you're out in the jungle. Neil will happily arrange tours for you but I think you can get them cheaper if you look at small places on your own.

I will start by saying that the couple that runs the place is nice. Other than that, there is nothing nice about this place. There is no lounge - it is one wicker sofa
Thank you for your review. We have built a new lounge called Africa Cafe,Specialist in Africa Breakfast and Intercontinental Breakfast and it is located on the roof terrace of the hostel.Only our guests get free breakfast tickets here. This new lounge is a standard chill-out Lounge with setting capacity of more than 20 people. We hope we have fixed your concerns about a lounge and a great atmosphere because customers satisfaction is our pride.

La Coperacha was a nice place to stay. A good breakfast made to order in the morning. Within walking distance top the center of town.

What I most liked about Banana's was the staff. The room smelled weird and had very thin walls (I could hear my neighbor snoring each night) and the bathroom was the kind where the toilet, sink and shower are all together so everything's constantly wet. There is a beautiful garden/bar area to hang out. Kitchen is small but workable. Great location. Great staff.

I must say that before arriving to the hostel I was put off by the owner's responses to the negative reviews here on the web site. I decided to look over it and chance it. I do agree with some of the previous criticisims. There are many signs stating what you can and cannot do and my room was next to the reception and street so it could be loud but everything else was pleasant. The breakfast was great. The tours were good and I loved Juan, a staff member. They even picked me up from the bus
Dear, thank you for your kind words and for giving us such high grades for cleanliness, security, location and staff. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. Regarding stating the rules in the Hostel, not only does it help keeping order and a respectful environment among people of such varied range of ages and cultures, but also complies with the chain's guidelines. It is mandatory that we inform guests about policy or conduct in order to ensure a decent and pleasant social coexistence. You would not have liked it here had you found disorder and disarray. Obrigado!

I loved my stay at Albergue da Costa. Henrique is friendly, helpful and fun (speaks excellent Spanish, English and Portuguese, of course). He has bikes you can take for a ride, he gives you thorough advice and recommendations. The room was nice, each with it's own private bathroom. Nice hang out areas. Dance classes, barbecues and late night chats. I couldn't have asked for more!

I enjoyed my stay at Cosmopolitan. It is a very nice hostel with a cute patio area out back. It is a 5 minute walk from the beach on 1 block away from both of the main streets. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
