Hue Backpackers Hostel

Hue, Vietnam

A hostel with lots of lively and interesting people, great food and in a central part of Hue. Unfortunately it was raining (as it always is in Hue) and the room smelled damp, with poor lighting and ventilation. I would strongly recommend against staying in the shared dorms at this place. Our friends in the private room had a great time.

A nice place that has wifi (a rare find in Ghana) for free at the reception. Appreciated the free breakfast, but it would have been nice if it started at 7.00 every morning instead of one the mornings where the kitchen guy could be bothed coming in early.

Great place with lovely owner. He really tries to make sure you are comfortable and helps in any way he can. Internet, laundry, (FREE) bikes and helpful advice all available. Comfortable beds and while it wasn't "central", Matsumoto is quite small and easily navigated on a bicycle. NOTE: directions to get here are non-existent. Study google maps before you get here.

Great place with all the facilities you could ask for- kitchen, laundry, and a spacious common room with wifi and a computer. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Will stay again when I come back to Nagoya. Lockers in the room would be nice, though I guess Japan is a pretty safe place.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. The building itself dates back from the Taisho period and it is gorgeous. Lots of dark wood and sliding doors with a pretty garden in the centre, as well as a roomy common area to meet people and chat. The staff are fantastic: very friendly and helpful. Free wifi, lockers, kitchen facilities are a big plus. Since the building is older, the facilities are a bit worn, but clean and it really adds to the whole experience.

The place has a "capsule" set up where each futon sits inside a cubicle. It's novel and i would recommend this hostel for a short stay in Kobe. For longer stays it gets a bit tiresome since you have to get your things out of the locker and you can't actually stand up in your capsule. The place is a bit quiet as well. Still, they have free wifi, the host is helpful and the facilities.
