Really nice hostel in a great location. Lots of fab bars and restaurants nearby. Bathrooms are really new and clean which makes a difference. Staff were friendly and helpful

Location is really sketchy! Doesn't feel that safe to walk around. Bagel breakfast was nice though!

The location of this hostel is good - it's right near the beach. There was a nice guy working there, who we had a beer with. That's the nicest things I can say about this hostel. The hot tub was broken, and there was rubble everywhere. The pool looked very murky. There was no breakfast in the morning, and not really any vibe, even though the hostel was full. It was like a film set of a hostel - it looked OK from the outside, but on closer inspection, there was nothing there!

One of my favourite hostels I stayed at in SA. We had a clean, bright double room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was basic but did the job. My favourite bit about the hostel was the lovely balcony with hammocks and sofas - the view was amazing - and it was a very relaxing place to sit. There were always drinks to be had in the evening in the bar, and the owners were super friendly. The only downside was the the beach is really hard to get to if you're not driving - but we managed to grab a lift.

The hostel was clean and modern, with nice places to sit, and a lovely outdoor area with a patio and chairs to sit in. We had a double room that was clean and bright, and the bathrooms were new and clean. There was no breakfast provided though. The staff were really helpful, and friendly too. The area wasn't the best - there were bars and restaurants on the main street, but it wasn't amazing.

We had a lovely double room with an en suite bathroom and a balcony. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was big and comfy. Heinz organised airport pick up and drop off for us, and gave us tips of where to eat out. We didn't use the pool or bar, but they looked nice. The breakfast was basic but did the job. I didn't really like the area, but then I didn't really like Johannesburg as a place to stay.

Great location - but q bit impersonal, as it's a huge hostel. It's nice that they do a free evening meal each night
